Paper Pumpkin

Another alternative to my April 2020 my wonderful family kit. For this card, I use another of the bases stamped the big message from wishing you set by Mama Elephant with VersaFine Clair ink Nocturne, in one of the label die-cuts I stamped two messages from the same set then glue the strip and label over lapping the opening and used the printed die-cut butterflies from kit as closure. Added some pearls from kit in the butterflies and black pearls from stash on both i of wishing

Paper Pumpkin

This was one of the alternative to my April 2020 my wonderful family. This was one of my very least liked kits, I like fun folds and that was not the problem it was the little supplies and the kit itself but made the kit.

Used one of the card bases from kit then I had to use one of the word piece printed die cut that I didn't like so I colored it with blending tool and and pear pizzazz ink, I tried covering as much as it could but I couldn't you can still see some letters side ways but I let it go, this was the biggest oval I had to cover the most, I sponged some clouds on the oval with tumbled glass ink with life changing brush, added my printed die-cut tree and bird from kit, added a little pearl on the bird, on a label die-cut I stamped my sentiment from sentimental rose paper pumpkin kit April 2019 with VersaFine Clair ink Nocturne

Happy Birthday

Today is my mom's birthday and because I had not heard how mail was other than it was taken even longer than usual I had to get her card asap so decided to mail this card to her. It was my alternative to summer nights paper pumpkin kit Jul. 2020. When I say the tag it looked like a vase so decided to used it as a vase so grabbed all my supplies to make a card for a flower in a vase. The woodgrain paper is by Park Lane, the flower is from the set you’ve got this set by SU, I stamped it with W Plus 9 Design Studio Pure oolor dye ink black then colored with Copic markers and then restamped with VersaFine Clair ink Nocturne then I cut my layer with double stitched rectangle die by Kat Scrappiness, then added some color to the embossed label from kit colored with distress Oxide ink stormy sky with Picket Fence Studios life changing blender brush and attached to card and then added some Nuvo Jewel Drops limoncello

Seems like I have been using these Picket Fence brushes a lot lately, is not that I like them more or they are easier on the hand is more that Bret made me a very handy storage that keeps them at reach and my TH bender tools are on a binder with ink swatches as I have one per ink which worked great for someone with OCD out of mess and organized so now if I planned ahead I can take them out but if it's something quick I just grab

Paper Pumpkin

These were alternative cards from my March 2019 Poppin’ birthday kit. They were similar to the ones I posted in July just using the other inside printed envelopes and different banners. The banner from are from the seriously amazing paper pumpkin Aug. 2014 and for these I stamped with Bermuda bay ink also with the kit's set and also used different die-cut numbers to personalized the card

Cards in Motion homework Day 6

I'm taking Altenew's class with Ashley Tucker. For day 6 was a two part lesson, first part was a twist and pop-up card and the second part was to combine multiple lessons in one card. I haven't done the second part and might not do it haven't decided as nothing too special is coming up that need that much work LOL. For the first lesson, is a card I made before here and when I made it I used a Dutch tutorial which was complete different to how Ashley showed. I decided to combine a little bit of both I guess. Once again I made it fall theme.

All inks are Altenew and I did use the mega greetings 4 set and die by Altenew everything else if from other companies.

For my main images I used autumn bounty stamp & cut set by HA with permanent black ink, colored with Copic markers and die cut with matching dies. I die cut my hope die 3 times stacked them., stamped my message with espresso and was ready to work on my front layer first mounted my stamped message then attached the hope and then added my veggies because I felt they were "flying" I found a tiny die of leaves and that solved my problem, set that piece aside and I move to the inside. I made my mechanism which was 8.5" x 2.5" score in half the long way and then score and folded in an angle the center.

I cut an additional strip of 11" x 2-3/4" and score in half then half each side to the opposite making a M or W depending on how you see the paper. This paper is wider and longer than my mechanism. I needed 4 pieces for decoration and they were 2.5" square originally wasn't going to add the hay stack paper but once again felt my veggies were flying so this way they weren't. The inside message is from onward & upward set by W Plus 9 also with espresso ink. Also added some cardstock to cover the mechanism...for my OCD

Cards in Motion homework Day 5

I'm taking Altenew's class with Ashley Tucker. For day 5 was reveal window cards. She showed us two ways of showing cards that reveal either a message or image I chose to do the shutter card.

All inks are Altenew. First I did my normal gate fold card out of craft cardstock then I grabbed a scrap of brownish layer and embossed it with leaves embossing folder by QuicKutz; then I cut a piece of 3" x 6.5" and stamped 3 of of the leaves from autumn wreath builder set by Gina K with chamomile then cut my pumpkin from nesting pumpkins dies by Spellbinders and then cut two more pumpkins in Neenah, in one I stamped the acorns from thankful set by LDRS Creative with rocky shore, mocha and espresso inks and mounted with the 3" x 6.5" strip in my card base and then did my flags and attached to my card, added some grass to ground the pumpkin. For the belly band I cut a strip of 1" x 11 fold around my card and cut excess card glue loosely. On the pumpkin stamped from pumpkin/autumn vines set by Heartfelt Creations with sand dunes ink and sponged some espresso ink I think or maybe mocha, stamped the message with espresso and it's from beautiful inside set by Altenew and attached it to belly band

Cards in Motion homework Day 4

I'm taking Altenew's class with Ashley Tucker. For day 4 was spinner card but this time was a new way to do a spinner and this time it was something completely new to me so of course I had to give it a go not only because I like this kind of cards but because it was something new. The other days I have done them in the past on my own way or the same but this I just had to try. Again I made it fall theme so other than the inks that are Altenew I don't think I have any other of their products.

For my front panel I stamped a striped background stamp with buttercream ink then stamped the leaves with vanilla cream ink then cut my panel with double stitched rectangle die by Kat Scrappiness. I die cut 3-4 rings with a combination of Gina K wreath builder mini stamp kit circles dies and nesting circles dies by Lifestyle Craft from scrap cardstock and one of brown/craft cardstock then cut two circles with the same nesting circles a bit bigger than the opening of the ring one in the same brown/craft and another in green. I glued the scrap rings together and attached them to my layer which was already attached to my base then added foam on the center.

On the brown/craft piece I attached my leaves which I made my spraying some distress oxide on vanilla cardstock then stamping and die cutting out of the set open falling leaves and matting set falling leaves by Heartfelt Creations with VersaFine Clair pinecone. The sprays I used were walnut stain, fossilized amber and peeled paint. Because there was too much brown showing I punched on the scraps of cardstock left some leaves from small punches by EK Success and Punch Bunch just to fill the area of the ring. I attached my ring on top of the other ring then placed the brown/craft circle on top of the foam.

I stamped my pumpkin from thankful set by LDRS Creative with autumn blaze, firebrick & forest glades and added some buttercream on the shades as I didn't like how light it was. Since the pumpkin didn't cover the whole circle I die cut some greenery which serve two purpose one anchor the pumpkin and also cover the area that was not cover in the circle that is why I die cut a second circle same color as the greenery so I attached everything to the green circle then attached it to the brown/craft circle with foam an now the the spinner is created

Cards in Motions homework Day 3

I'm taking Altenew's class with Ashley Tucker. For day 3 it was pop-up cards. Another fall/sympathy card. Ashley gave us 3 ways to do the pop-up card I normally don't use neither one of these ways but since these are what she used guess we were supposed to use these ways at least for the homework 😀

For my front I used I set by Taylored Expression which it reminded me again why I hate so much this set, when I bought it I thought it was great, multi-layer leaves 3 different leaves BUT it's red rubber and with my bad hands I have to use a stamping tool and even with a stamp positioner it's a pain to use specially when you want to stamp the whole layer, messages are great and the solid stamp would be great for kissing technique but as a layer set it's awful...to me that I have OCD and want perfect alignment and you will see I didn't get it in a couple as my stamp positioner moved on the MISTI or maybe my shaky hand either way it wasn't too much off so decided to let it be since I'm not giving it to anyone, this card is just for the homework anyway all the stamping except message were done with Altenew inks. The little dots are from delicate peony by Birch Press, the message on the front and inside are both with VersaFine Clair pinecone and from Altenew's beautiful inside set. For the pop-up I used Gina K's stitched leaves mini stamp kit. I die cut the leaves, then did smooch technique with the same inks I used on the front leaves and when dry I used a dauber to add some rocky shore ink on all the edges then I stamped the matching stamp with VersaFine Clair pinecone

I used Neenah 80lb. for the layer and card base and seaside 65lb by Recollections for the inside pop-up part and the front layer

Cards in Motion homework Day 2

I'm taking Altenew's class with Ashley Tucker. For day 2 it was spinner cards. I decided to play with the homework since I also like these cards. I made my card very simple using mostly background paper. Normally I tried using Altenew products on my homework but somehow I don't remember they had a fall set in the past and all I the leaves I had are from flower sets and I still wanted to do a fall card so had to use a different set. I used Gina K's stitched leaves mini stamp kit that has stamps and dies so for my spinner part I used the maple leaves from there and for the front of the card the maple leaves are from autumn wreath builder set.

For the front I cut my background panel that I believe I got the paper at Hobby Lobby a couple years ago. For my base as well as my inside piece I decided to use the same color cardstock. I cut my inside panel pretty small as I didn't want my spinner to show when it was closed, I know my OCD just didn't work so I kept playing until I was happy. I used fishing thread for hang my maple leave. I die cut the maple leave out of the gift of fall add on pack by SU then stamped my leave with VersaFine Clair pinecone. On the front I used the rock & roll technique to stamp the leaves using the warm and cozy collection of inks; the message is from the beautiful day set by Altenew also with VersaFine Clair pinecone. On the big maple leave I sponged some aged mahogany ink on the back just in case there was anything showing but I was able to match so was extra work 😊

Cards in Motion homework Day 1

I'm taking Altenew's class with Ashley Tucker. For day 1 it was shaker cards. I decided to play with the homework since I love making shaker cards. I made made a very simple slimline card.

I wanted a fall look to my card and since I want/need to make some sympathy cards I was looking for small messages that would work for that. I used 3 sets by Altenew wings of hope, build-a-flower rose and beautiful day for the leaves with crisp dye inks: olive, sunkissed, parrot, orange cream, honey drizzle, hazelnut, sand dunes, paper bag, chamomile & snapdragon; for the messages I used HA sets color layering koala & safari wild about you both stamped with VersaFine Clair pinecone; for the frame I used a die by Kraftgali, square grid windows slimline essential; for the shaker bits I used Honew Bee Stamps embellishments warm honey sequins mix and some from my stash.

The orange cardstock is from a festive variety slimline layer pack by The Paper Cut, I stamped all the images on a slimline white cougar opaque layer also by The Paper Cut and then I made my card base from Micey Nice Paper by Stampa Rosa

Little closed up for the card

Happy Grandparents' Day

Wishing all of you grandparents out there a very happy day. I know with this pandemic for some is hard to visit with the little kids or the bigger kids but still hope you were able to have some in-touch with your grandkids.

This is one of my alternatives to summer nights paper pumpkin kit July 2020 and combo with My monthly hero creativity in a box kit June 2020 wonder of the northern skies –aurora borealis. I used one of the postcard from the PP kit, used one of my alphabet die sets for the word hugs and die cut each letter several times added Spectrum Noir sparkle Crystal clear glitter brush; die cut the die from the HA kit 4 times on the bottom one I kept the whole thing and colored the pieces with Copic markers and on the top one I added Spectrum Noir sparkle Crystal clear glitter brush

Back to school

Today today is the normal day to get back to school. Last I heard in our state school was not going back yet so not sure how our grand-daughter will be doing her schooling as last school year wasn't much of a school year at least to me. I'm hoping they figure out a better way so kids will actually get the schooling they need so they don't get behind and parents aren't responsible for the teaching as some parents do go to work and even if they didn't work aren't able to teach that is why they send the kids to school otherwise they would be homeschooling anyway this is the card I made our grand-daughter for this year

I used school days stamp set by Altenew with grape jelly dew drop, Amanda writes by Stampabilities stamped with intense black and colored with Copic markers, cut my layer with stitched rectangle framelits
