Birthday cupcake

In one of my Yahoo groups, we had the theme birthday but it couldn't just be any birthday card it had to have either cake, cupcake, or party hat so once again I checked the images I had colored with Copic Markers years ago to see if there was something I could use and I did. The cupcake is by Hero Arts, used my vertical stitched strip die by MFT, the message is from the massive messages stamp set by Gina K Design stamped with cottage ivy. I used glossy accents on all the hearts

Underwater life

I can't remember what is the name of this sea life creature which is the same I use on our anniversary card, I know probably I did mention it then but that was a month ago LOL anyway I saw a card by Windy Ellard that thought it was a nice and easy male card, since I used it for male birthday it worked out great :0) when I finished the card I didn't put a message as I wasn't sure what I wanted the card for and when I decided to use it for birthday was too lazy to add the message :0)

Used the stamp set from land to sea by SU with inks Sahara sand, crumb cake, Bermuda bay and mint macaron

Nutty best wishes

When I was cutting the paper for another card using the acorny thank you stamp set I had some small pieces left over that I was going to toss to my recycle bin but changed my mind and decided to make another card using them. This time decide to make it an anniversary card so added my message by Heartfelt Creations and then put two nuts and twine from my stash and another quick and easy card was done :0)

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's shoebox project I wanted to play with a card fold that I have no idea if there is a name for it, I had on my to do list for a while now. The first time I saw this card was from Lisa Young she doesn't have any tutorial or instructions of any kind so if you are a visual person like me you wouldn't have a problem figuring out how to make it. Over time I don't think I have ever found a tutorial so did it according to what I thought I would be done.

After I had seen her card I saw people doing it the easy way, not exactly the same look but close enoough so I made the two ways and gave them the option. They chose the easy way but I like the first way :0) They're both A2 size.

I used vintage leaves stamp set by SU; inks pine needles, peeled paint, forest moss, mowed lawn & frayed burlap, crajun craze; acorn builder punch by SU sponged the edges with vintage photo. The burlap is part of the bag from paper pumpkin September 2014

On the first card, a white card base is on the back of the green layer...you don't see the white cardstock.

For the second card, I used exactly the same supplies. The top layer of cardstock was cut an extra inch wider than needed then after I stamped I scored then cut the extra inch off, then glued to a layer of green cardstock. For the belly band I was lazy so I just use one strip of each instead of 3 pieces of white and one green :0) The green piece was score the same dimentions as the white.

I used some thread from the same bag to add on top of nut and ribbon is also SU

Duck card

Male cards are always a harder to make than anything maybe because women like anything :0) I know some men like gardening some more than I do...actually I hate yard work mostly because it's dirty work and it takes you longer to do something to make it nice for the weeds and stuff to mess it all up! Anyway making clean and simple cards are easier and of course having some stamps that look good without coloring even better.

For this card, I cut my oval from the oval collection Framelits die by SU then I added Sahara sand ink with brayer to my woodgrain texture impressions embossing folder and embossed my paper. I cut a smaller oval on vanilla paper stamped the duck or geese from the moon lake stamp set by SU with rich cocoa, sponged some Sahara sand ink and before mounting the smaller oval I adhere some twine tape by Simplicity. I didn't like this "tape" much because it was too thick but was afraid if I cut it in half it would fay so had to finish it quick LOL

Two nuts

I made another card with SU's acorny thank you stamp set and matching punch. I saw something that sorry to say don't know who inspired me I did go back to look for the card to give proper credit BUT couldn't find it on Pinterest, SplitCoastStampers or Google.

In my card I used SU's hardwood stamp, the lace was from my stash but I think it was from Daiso Japan and used liquid pearls to make the pearls

For today's shoebox project I decided to make one of my Sunday Tip or Technique shares. The original project idea by Julie Davidson was doing an ice cream as a card but I decided to make my ice cream part of the card. This is what I had done first
