Embossed daisies

I have lots of little embossing folders and some how every time I try to used them have to figure out how to cover the mark it leaves on the paper so for this card I decided to use scraps of paper to emboss the daisies and where the paper ended I used my score board to emboss lines so it would look as if that was my design all along 😺 the flowers are from with love border embossing folder set by Cuttlebug and then added colored pearls by Recollections. Very simple card not exactly 4.25" x 5.5" but I don't use A2 envelopes except for donation cards.

Owl

I was wanted to play with this very old Owl stamp I got at a show I think by H.A.L.O.S., can't even think what the initials mean I stamped it with tuxedo black ink and colored it with Copic markers  then die cut it with the small oval dies by Spellbinders and added the flowers that were like ribbon and you just cut each one apart or leave as ribbon if you like, then cut a small scalloped oval die also by Spellbinders in green cardstock. Made my center step card fold, cut matching background papers from stash and mounted my ovals with foam

Thanks a bunch

I love black and white but I also love gold and black it's so elegant. The embossing was done with the countess 5x7 folder & border set by Cuttlebug then decided to add a gold glitter strips by American Crafts that is like washi tape, on the top two corners added peel-off stickers by Starform and last stamped thanks a bunch stamp by Worth Repeating with tuxedo black ink did have to let it dry a bit as did dry as quick on glitter/shimmer paper as it did on most papers and I kind of hate StāzOn ink, smells and stains stamps 😺

Tint of red

This was a simple card I had to make an tint of red or Oriental style card so used the Japanese lady stamp by Sparkle N Sprinkle with tuxedo black ink just colored the skin and made her lips red and cover both themes. Used my Copic Markers for the coloring no much blending as I was just wanting a little color on the skin so it was not just white. The card base is jet black by Core’dinations Foundations, the red by Recollections and the background was from an origami pack called Ichimatsu Chiyogami by Origami Grimmhobby

59th Birthday

I saw this fun fold card theater card fold with Sam at Mixed Up Crafts and then I saw it with JanB and since I was looking for what to do for Bret for his birthday JanB's reminded me of Sam's card. I never care of the size of cards I make specially for Bret since they are hand-deliver, Sam's cards are normally 5x7 or square but I did make this A2 size since the cutting of paper was easier just cut in 4 and pretty much you are done no extra paper other than the stamping pieces which are consider scraps and background papers if you wanted to use background papers. I sure had the same theme on his father's day and birthday 😺

I stamped two of the stamps of the timeless textures set with faded jeans ink on the top layer and back layer, cut my front panel with double stitched rectangles by Kat Scrappiness, that piece went to the back; the stamping on scraps of white were from sailing home set with faded jeans for the lighthouse colored a little with Copic markers and cut with the matching stampin’ cut & emboss die smooth sailing, the message is from Itty bitty greetings set also with faded jeans ink punched with small oval punch, cut two notches on each side with 3 /4” circle punch by EK Success.

This is the view flat if you were to mail

the sailboat was stamped off with the faded jeans ink so you could see it but the message would be what you could see in full straight ink. This is the view open front

Happy Father's day

After I made the card for my dad that I showed yesterday I made one pretty much the same for Bret just changed the image. I like lighthouses and as hobby we like to hike looking for lighthouses, we have seen almost everyone in Oregon and Washington that are not privately own. Like I mention the cards were inspired from a card I saw at Stamp Owl and she got the tutorial from Blankina Creations. Her dimensions were in metric so I had to work it to inches but wasn't that hard since I like fun folds and I still remember a little my metric system.

I first stamped the lighthouse from sailing home set by SU with VersaFine Clair ink nocturne then masked it and did my background with distress oxide inks with Picket Fence Studios life changing blender brushes with vintage photo and tumbled glass and a cloud stencil with broken china oxide ink cut the layers with A7 layered die set by Waffle Flower

Cut my top white layer with Double stitch design rectangle small die set by Gina K Design then stamped with VersaFine Clair ink Nocturne with three sets big bold you set by Winnie & Walter (to), ways to say happy anniversary set by Picket Fence Studios (you are my favorite husband) and  here’s lookin’ at you set by My Creative Time (Happy Father’s Day) then mounted on black and white

Father's Day - Día del Padre

After watching Rachel Tessman's lived class I knew what would be my father's day card for our two boys, my brother and Gary. It was a pretty simple card to make, I made a little change as I didn't like the folded message but that's just my OCD I'm sure no one else have the same problem and neither the recipients.

I used some of my Harper’s Boutique paper pack by The Paper Studio that don't seem to finish after all the cards I have made it just keep going and going 😹 for all cards I used play time stamp set by Local King Rubber Stamp with VersaFine Clair ink Nocturne and the matching die

for my brother's card, I used saludos entre amigos set by SU with VersaFine Clair ink Nocturne

for the boys, I used man day set by Technique Tuesday and awesome Family set by Pink & Main both with

and for Gary, man day set by Technique Tuesday, sophisticated script upper case set & sophisticated script case by Concord & 9th all 3 with VersaFine Clair ink Nocturne

and the "inside" message in this case back was thought of on father’s stamp by Endless Creations also in VersaFine Clair ink nocturne

Happy 93

Yesterday was one of my adoptive aunt's birthday

since everyone has been in quarantine, her niece decided it was safe for all to get together so we met at her house. It is a big deal to make it to 93 so it was great that we were able to gather and be together and celebrate her.

I am one to believe that you HAVE to celebrate your birthday little or big as not everyone has the privilege to have a birthday so if you do have the privilege to make it to your next birthday not only do you have to be thankful but grateful that you are having one so NEVER say I don't want more birthdays or don't want to celebrate because there are so many people that don't have that opportunity and we don't have have it either because they're gone, anyway this is the card I gave her. It was an alternative to the paper pumpkin March 2019 Poppin’ birthday

I stamped with VersaMark ink the balloons that were from the kit's free set counting the years then used one of the small card bases from the seriously Amazing Aug. 2014 paper pumpkin cut in half added one of the printed die-cut bow from this March kit grabbed a printed banner from seriously amazing Aug. 2014 paper pumpkin and also used the set from that kit as it fit perfectly in the banner with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink

The printed pop-up inserts is from this March kit as well as the printed die-cut candles and printed die-cut numbers the pieces on the side were scraps from card bases I cut down to make into other cards

Ways with Washi tape class homework

A while back I took a class at Altenew Academy with Alexandra Stapleton-Smith, it was a 6 day class I think and on day 2 it was using alcohol markers refills on Altenew's washi tape. The tape she used was the bouquet die cut tape with it's not paper like most washi tapes which made it perfect to use with alcohol markers I used my Copic Markers refills RV34, R14, BV02, R21, B00, BG11, V04 and Tim Holtz Andirondack Alcohol ink blending solution and to embellish used Nuvo Crystal Drops gloss bubblegum blush and morning dew. For the first card I used a die from my stash to add the greeting

After I finished putting my card together I had all the left over pieces that I just couldn't toss away so decided to add them on a white panel cut from my stitched rectangle dies by The Stamps of Life. At first I wanted to used the exact placement of where them came out but was hard to keep them in place so I just added them wherever. Used Nuvo Glitter Drops white blizzard. The message is from uplifting thoughts set by Concord & 9th with VersaFine Clair ink nocturne

Paper Pumpkin

This was one of my alternative for the August 2019 the gift of fall kit but mainly their add on kit. I donated the cards to the Taylored Expressions card drive. I used elementary cardstock by Recollections for my base, then I cut one of the cards from the add on kit in half to use as layers where I stamped my image by Rubber Marbles and can't remember the name will have to edit the name but since the store and company went out of business doesn't matter too much I guess 😏 my messages are from two sets the first one is simple strips background stamp by Taylored Expressions and cut with matching die and the other dragonfly greetings set by Birch Press Design cut with classic label punch by SU everything was stamped with VersaFine Clair ink Nocturne
