Door prize thank you plus

I had told you I had joined a Demos Galore back in January and I was a lucky winner of a door prize which in my case ended up being a retired stamp set. As a thank you for my demonstrator and the demonstrator that sent me the prize I made them a card with that set which I hope they got it as neither mentioned it. I know most people don't always let you know if mail is received but the way mail is now a days is nice to let people know when you get something just as a courtesy so you don't wonder if your envelope made it or not. They don't have to like it, even comment liking it, just a BTW I got your envelope/card would be nice. Guess that is why I understand so many people send less and less cards postage is expensive post office keeps making fuzz about bulkiness or embellishments or sizes to add more postage and then don't know if the card even got to destination!? if you are never in contact with those people other than when you mail correspondence will your choice to keep doing it or not, but if you talk, email or text a quick I got your card would be nice, just my 2 cents.

Of course I had to make the cards into slimline since that is what I have been making a lot lately, but these were mini slimline because they fit better with the set. The stamp set was sale-a-bration tags in bloom stamp set stamped with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink

For all cards I used Park Lane 110 lb. smooth white solid core cardstock 12x12, Park Lane 110 lb. smooth black solid core cardstock for my next layer, and for my next layer I used Recollections 110 lb. red punch & elementary pack cardstock, then punched the opening with 1-3/4” circle punch by EK whale of a punch also for all cards the bottom leaf was colored with Memento dual marker bamboo leaves, the rest of the green was stamped with GKD premium dye ink cube grass green. The stopper was done with layers of black cardstock or foam to use up what I had.

This was I stamped the second layer with GKD premium dye ink cube wild dandelion and Altenew crisp dye ink golden sunset collection marigold, inside message for stopper is from sale-a-bration what I love stamp set with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink

For this, I stamped second layers with GKD premium dye ink cube wild dandelion and Altenew crisp dye ink golden sunset collection marigold, inside message for stopper is from sale-a-bration what I love stamp set with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink

I don't do well on the splatter have to practice more on that, on the two previous card I did it by mixing Archival pigment ink refill Brilliance graphite black with water and Nuvo Mica Mist. Every tutorial I have watched they make it seem so easy and every time I tried it just never seem that easy so making more cards for my donation box to Gray Matter Foundations I just did faux splatter way more easy LOL I used for that timeless textures stamp set, and is not really splatter but good enough for me with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink

For this card, I stamped for my layers with MFT premium dye ink cube electric red and GKD premium dye ink cube wild dandelion, inside message for stopper was from You are amazing slimline stamp set by Pinkfresh Studio with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink

For this card, I stamped my layers with Altenew crisp dye ink warm and cozy collection autumn blaze and GKD premium dye ink cube wild dandelion, inside message for stopper was from Nature’s wish seasons & nature stamp set by CTMH with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink

One of my online friends loss her cat so I made her and her family this card. As a pet owner it is always hard to lose a pet, they are part of our family. It was about a mini slimline. The first message, until you meet again, is from the matching stamp set rainbow bridge by Waffle Flower with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink the other message if from cat sympathy stamp set by Our Daily Bread Designs also with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink

Cherries & fruits

I joined two mingles aka swaps with the same sort of theme cherries and the other all about fruits so of course I had to make my cards slimline because why not. I really do enjoy making this size, I get to use more of my background paper, less waste and just more options not that before I had issues with size since I never care about making my cards A2 I just make my cards to fit my needs not an envelope or postage. Anyway, these are the two cards I made. Other than the message no stamping, all was paper I punched the top cherries from one paper and background was another paper both by Creative Imaginations Scrapbooking made easy paper by Renae Lindgren from Renae’s House very old paper that I had been hoarding the punches were 2-1/2" & 2-1/4" by EK, message was from thinking of you set by Altenew with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink, I mounted the message on 3 or 4 layers of black Park Lane 110 lb. smooth black solid core cardstock and my base was Recollections 110 lb. white cardstock, the red was also Recollections 110 lb. from red punch pack

Pink butterfly

 I made these cards for Gray Matters Foundation donation box. I used Recollections 110 lb. white cardstock for the base, then die cut my pink layer of 65 lb by Recollections paper pack with Cindy Echtinaw Designs Card Creator Perfect Layers A then die cut my Pink hearts scrapbook paper by The Paper Studio with Cindy Echtinaw Designs Card Creator Perfect Layers B which I covered with tissue paper; the butterfly is a die that also embosses which makes it nice, embossed heart butterfly by Poppy Stamps, before I glued my top layer I attached my simply grosgrain 1/8” ribbon by Offray then added some Nuvo Crystal Drops rhubarb crumble and card was done. It was meant to be for Valentine's since they are sort on that them but didn't added a message in case she wanted to used for something else

Happy 72nd

Our favorite brother-in-law is celebrating his birthday today so this is the card I made him. He loves sweets so when I saw the a video by Jen from ScrapbookPal showcasing the layered ice cream & cupcake by Avery Elle I just had to have them to make his card and had so much fun making ice cream cones. I used Altenew crisp dye inks. for my base I used Recollections 110 lb. white cardstock, my layer was die cut with two things sprinkle slimline panel by The Stamps of Life and square grid windows slimline essential dies by Kraftgali, the ice cream is sitting on 1/4 white tea lace paper doily by SU.
For the cone I used coffee break collection sand dunes, rocky shore and mocha,
for the ice creams top to bottom
tea party collection pink pearl, coral bliss and vineyard berry;
coffee break collection rocky shore, mocha and espresso;
golden sunset collection sunray, chamomile, marigold;
delectable delights collection vanilla cream, hazelnut and milk chocolate;
cool summer night collection sea glass, ocean waves and desert night
I added some confetti on the ice cream and some clear water drops as if the ice cream was dripping.

The Happy Birthday is 3 layers from my I don't have a bowl I just put them in the same envelope as the die for next time I am going to use it so I know it's there

Demos galore make & take

Back in January, I joined my paper pumpkin demonstrator Rachel Tessman and a bunch other demonstrator to their demo galore event. It was a day with several demos via online of course otherwise I would have not join since I don't leave the house LOL anyway as part of joining, Rachel send me supplies to make a card, circle punch flap fold card. The card fold was part of the demo although I had done it before so as soon as I got the supplies I made the card without even checking who it was supposed to go. I picked the side of paper I like more and the orientation of the card

What she sent me was 9-1/2” x 4-1/2” score 3” & 7-1/4” of basic black cardstock, 4” x 4” basic white cardstock, 2-3/4” x 4” sale-a-bration flower & field DSP, granny apple cardstock die cut with fluttering die, rhinestones basic jewels, basic white cardstock & basic black cardstock punched out with double oval punch, basic black cardstock punched out from 2-1/4” circle. I used itty bitty greetings stamps set on the oval with Memento tuxedo black ink and was trying not to use other products other the stamping so even though doesn't show much on the photo but behind the butterfly I stamped with Memento tuxedo black ink the big flowers from the awesomely artistic stamp set

because my OCD didn't let me see the white cardstock I just cover the back  half circle with, it still bug me a little that didn't match but oh well better than seeing the white

Happy Fourth of July

Hoping you have a safe holiday. Our county has open to normal living because we have hit the 70% vaccination but because we are not allowed to ask if you are vaccinated or not and since I am high risk and not trusting people to do the right thing and those that are not fully vaccinated will continue to wear mask as they should I will continue to stay home hoping more people will continue to get their vaccines so we can beat this pandemic really soon and we are completely be safe out there! we do have something to celebrate today I guess as things are better

I normally don't do Fourth of July cards other than for Bret if I have time and my health permits but this year I decided to make sure I could make for the heroes in my town. The Algona Police Department that continue to do their job and keep us safe. I got to meet our Chief James Schrimpsher!!  The other heroes are

Sergeant/Detective James McKay

Officer Robert Bonjukian

Officer Héctor Aponte

Officer Thomas Coyne

Officer Ben Brown

Officer Stefka Kling

Specialist Cari Sanford

Reserve Officer Cory Tunnell

Officer Elijah Johnston

Also gave to one of our temporary mail delivery persons, our regular person retired back in January and they have not cover her position as of yet, amazing how long it takes to replace someone. Anyway, this is the card I gave them. I used FourthofJuly2stamp set & die by The Stamps of Life. For my base I used Park Lane 110 lb. smooth 12 x 12 white cardstock because my card is bigger than normal A2 and I didn't want to waste a regular cardstock and well I do my cards regardless of size LOL for the heart I cut all my pieces twice I was going to do more layers but the blue was a pain to get out the of the die and 3 hearts didn't cut off completely and I didn't want them blue so had to cut them with knife so with bad hands couldn't do too many so had to stick with two layers, the 4 of July were 3 layers and the "of star" was mounted on foam also. The of star and July were done with Altenew crisp dye ink lapis lazuli collection azurite and the 4 was done with Altenew crisp dye ink red cosmos collection ruby red. Used Recollections iridescent adhesive rhinestones inside each start hole, all cardstocks used were in my scrap drawer except for the base of course 😀
