Shoebox Tuesday

Happy Halloween! For today's shoebox project I have another Halloween project :0) this is a fun fold card. Linda  Bauwin did a card so I decided to do it but I changed mine as I don't like strip of papers :0) again no stamping other than the message. My owl punch art was in my box of scraps to use at some point. Can't remember if she had a name for this fold

This is the front of the card

and the difference with her card is that I did a full panel for the card base instead of just a 1" strip on the back of the orange card base so layers had to be re-adjusted and the orange became a layer not the base :0)

Snoopy Boo

This Halloween card was fun to make, its like a shadow box. The stamp is by Stampabilities stamped with tuxedo black and colored with Copic Markers, I did my shadow box with double stitched rectangles by Kat Scrappiness, and I added a rhinestone brad spider by Recollections hanging from the cobweb using a multi liner

Haunted house

This is another scrapbook paper I found that thought would work for an odd size card. Not that is really odd size but not a normal A2 size we make as it 5x7. I added the bats which are from the nested bats die set by Spellbinders, added some black Wink of Stella glitter brush pen to them which do not show on the picture and then some rhinestones as eyes by Recollections and another quick and easy card

Halloween

I was looking into my background papers and found this scrapbook paper that decided could work for a odd size card with minimum doing. I added a couple rhinestones brads by Recollections, the skull and bat and a simple nice cards was done

Let your dreams set sail

I had to do some birthday cards and my brother's birthday date to mail was coming up at the time so like always was debating whether I should or shouldn't send a card in English or not but since he does speak English decided to go ahead and send him the front in English and just the inside message in Spanish :0) the whole card was done with the same set high tide by Kaiser Craft all in tuxedo black ink

Shoebox Thursday

For today's shoebox project I have another simple Halloween card. I saw the idea on Pinterest and it was from Splitcoaststampers by Donidoodle. Then saw other cards using the same idea so don't know had the idea first, like all cards they were all a bit different so is mine :0)

I used wildflowers set by Hot of the Press with tuxedo black ink then I decided instead of die or punch to use a ribbon I had from The Paper Studio and my cats are dies by Poppy Stamps. The top cat is layered a few times to give it some dimension the bottom is just flat and of course since it's meant to be a Halloween card there is a spider hanging from the top cat which is part of web crawler stamp by Memory Box but since I had some jewel spider sticker by Memory Box on my desk and somehow they were always falling apart used the rhinestone from the sticker on my spider was just the perfect size. I gave my friends 3 options...using the stamp & rhinestone, the full jewel spider sticker or a spider brad

Resting on pumpkin

Another simple Snoopy card. I sponged the edges of the front layer with orange ink, stamped image with StazOn which is by Stampabilities and colored with Tombow markers and the eyelet bats were from my stash

Shoebox Tuesday

This project was a bit of a workout LOL somehow sponging background is never easy on my hand no matter what tool I use, I did the card with blending tools mainly because they're clean compare to sponges and I have a bit of OCD and don't like to get dirty when crafting. I know some people say if you don't get ink in your fingers is sign that you are not having fun well to me it's the opposite as I can't work on card with dirty hands first because more likely you'll be staining the papers you're touching and second it's distracting but that's just me! anyway I used bramble sunrise stamp by Memory Box with tuxedo black then I masked the sun both ways first to add the fossilize amber and then to add the purples. I used lavender fields, deep iris, midnight violet, dusty concord and soft lilac to go over the whole thing including the sun

Scarecrow Snoopy

This was a simple card. The background was done with a Holly Pond Hill stamp with Big and Juicy black ink, the image is by Stampabilities colored with Tombow markers, the ground was done with a Stampendous stamp and added some pumpkin eyelets from my stash

Baby wipe flowers

I wanted to play with this Altenew set, lacy scrolls and well sometimes there is not too much to do with a bold stamp so decided to use the baby wipe technique. I ordered some distress reinkers, yes I don't own any reinkers as I do not reink my pads I rather buy new pads but figure since I have seen several things done with this inks that maybe I will try some of them (doubt it LOL) but having the reinkers at least I don't have an excuse right LOL anyway I ordered some general colors but more into fall colors as I like fall colors and got both regular and oxide that way I can see how both of them do. I had done this technique with regular dye ink reinkers and alcohol ink reinkers and TO ME I think, distress gave it a watercolor look I might be wrong but that's my thought and I'm sticking to it :0)

I also used Jennifer McGuire's idea of cutting off part of the card and mounting on foam and adding the message on that part. My message is smaller than hers so it doesn't go over the card but was good with it. It's handwritten designer cutting die by Little B

Pining for Plaid

I rejoined Paper Pumpkin kits by SU for a while, this month October 2017, not sure for how long but surprisingly this month I got my box on Tuesday night I opened it on Wednesday evening and right away I started working on it. I don't usually see the instructions until I can't think of what to do with the supplies but this time the moment I saw the plaid paper it instantly said to me masculine outdoor cards! Well the first card was of course Christmas since it was an ornament and that was the simplest card I did. I didn't care for the foam the kit it came with as its too thick and it will cost extra to mail. For the most part I don't mind but I try not too. I made 5 cards like this the tree and deer are satin cutouts by May Arts that I got at Impress very long time ago, the message is a stamp by Impress and I used cherry cobbler, not the one that came in the kits as that was a duplicate :0) I cut my base cards in half so I got double of whatever they came

This is the other design I made that night and also made another 5 cards. I added black cardstock to my top layer and banner, the rhinestones weren't in the kit either and the eagle is from the the set wildlife designer cutting dies by Little B, the message was stamped in tuxedo black and is by Savvy Stamps

and yesterday, I finished the other 5 cards I was able to do so far. Another shadow/shaker card (sorry for the blurriness but acetate not easy to photograph). I used ornamental pine SU's set with mossy meadow ink, for the inside I use a background paper of forest and the bear from the wildlife designer cutting die by Little B with a pearl as eye, the message is from SU's hostess set felices fechas. I just used regular foam instead of the foam that came in the kit

I have 4 pieces of plaid paper (2 base cards) all the circles that were in the openings of the shaker cards, some banners and all the sequins that I didn't use in the "shaker cards" and of course I should try and use the set. It was Christmas. If the rest of the kits are like this then it won't be a waste of money LOL

Shoebox Thursday

For today's project I have another Halloween card pretty simple as there is no stamping :0) the idea came from Sheri Gilson

The background is bats folder by Sizzix, the frame of the mirror was done with double stitched rectangle dies by Kat Scrappiness, the border was done with a Martha Stewart punch not the one I wanted but turned out from a wall full of punches I didn't have the right punch or die LOL and the ghosts are May Arts ribbon I got at Impress years ago

Stampin' Up Workshop

Today we attended a SU workshop with a new local demonstrator and we got to make 3 cards.

The first card was using basket of wishes set with early espresso ink, tuxedo black ink and stampin' write markers but I used mostly my Copic Markers to color. The Baker's twine was crushed curry

This second card, we used the black jewels, basic black shimmer ribbon and for the cat is their DSP punched out with the matching punch. The message was Happy Halloween but I decided to used one from the set modern cats by Altenew with tuxedo black

And last but not least, we used burlap background stamp with crumb cake ink, painted harvest set with chocolate chip, crushed curry, so saffron & garden green inks and the matching punch leaf punch, the sunflower was fuzzy cut, linen thread, for the message we used pretty label punch

This was an easy almost no stamping Halloween easel card. The scallop punch is by SU and the brad I got it at Impress which I'm guessing is by Eyelet Outlet & Brads; the message on the front is by Lockhart Stamps with tuxedo black ink

and the message on the stopper is by Make an Impression also with tuxedo black ink

New Home

Today we had a house warming for Bret's co-worker and family and this is the card I made them.

The brick background is a Creative Expressions embossing folder, the furniture stamp is an old stamp by Memory Box called cat and lamp colored with Copic Markers, the lacy curtains are Poppy Stamp steel craft die as well as the small madison window. I glued acetato to the back of the window then the curtain and then added foam before attaching to the background. The message is from Home is set by Technique Tuesday with tuxedo black ink

Loving Pandas

I love pandas they seems huggable and loving so of course when I saw this stamp at Sparkle N Sprinkle I had to get it for anniversary cards! Never used it before I think as many of my stamps I just collect them LOL that's not really true I meant to use them when I bought them but just never seem to have enough time!!

I used Copic markers to color and sponge dauber and tumbled glass ink to do my clouds. The message was also stamped with tuxedo black and I think it was by D.Hunter sold by Darice back then

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's shoebox project, I have another Halloween card. This is a simple card no stamping involve :0) I didn't have orange glitter paper so I made my own with white glitter paper and my Copic Airbrush System, I die cut my kitty cat face steel craft die by Poppy Stamps and mounted on top of glitter paper. I then grabbed my bat cave cutout by Memory Box and die cut my background paper and mounted it with foam as if the cat was peeking through the cave :0)

This month is Breast Cancer Awareness although for some it's another month for personal reasons so thought I would post this card.

Tilda with umbrella

There is a myth that it rains all the time in our area so I had to get this stamp but the truth is that it rains more in NY than here but it's always cloudy here!! I used Tilda in spring rain by Magnolia stamped with tuxedo black. I colored the skin with Copic Markers and the rest with Prismacolor pencils for the water I used a glazed pen. For my layers I used labels 14 by Spellbinders and brad and prisma flowers from stash

Shoebox Thursday by Darlene

For today's shoebox project Darlene had for us a Halloween card.

The background was done with Tim Holtz folder cobwebs, the rest was from a die set by Elizabeth Craft Designs, I think it's a Karen Burniston Halloween Scene. Anyway we could pick how to do the card portrait or landscape I decided landscape so I had more of the cemetery, the brad was from her stash so were the rhinestones (eyes for bat & spider). There is a piece of silver thread hanging from the tree that is holding the spider. The message by Rubber Poet was stamped with brilliance ink

Pumpkins

Don't know about in your area but here in WA it feels more and more like fall. It's cool even if the sun is out, the colors are changing and yes we are seeing pumpkins everywhere :0) and it's only been barely a week since we switch to this Fall season!!

This is a clean and simple card made with peel-off stickers and Copic Markers. I used Elizabeth Crafts peel-off stickers and glitter paper (you use double sided adhesive sheet and her glitter) then colored with Copic Markers.
