Stampin' Up New Catalog Kick Off

Yesterday I attended the new SU catalog kick-off. We got to make 3 projects.

This first card was using the new in-color cucumber crush paper & lace, cherry on top DSP stack and the stamp set sprinkle of life

This was a treat bag BUT since the only time I need a 3D project is when we're having company I made my project a card. The Thinlits die was carry-over die from the occasions catalog, the stamp set you're so sweet is new and matches with the mini treat bag die

This last project was using the new in-color watermelon wonder paper & lace and the new stamp set you got this. I use my Copic Marker to color the center of flower

Last make & take

This is the last make & take card I made at the show...cards shown not in the order I made them :0)

This one was a card front at Art Impressions brought by Stamptown it was using the window die and normally you would use anything, they had some decoupage papers of their watercolor images. I didn't want to leave the paper showing on back so I mounted it on black cardbase. The inside of the window doesn't match perfectly with the outside of the window but good enough to use both. Colored the top of window with Memento dual marker..normally it would come out but the die didn't cut perfectly :0)

How bad things are when you are hooked to internet/computers! when you don't have it whatever you need it has to be with that. Even the stupid people at Century Link tells you to check for technical support on their web site but how can you check for technical support when the problem is internet connection?!!!

Anyway for shoebox project on Tuesday  I made these triple stamping look but my way

for these two cards I used SU Kinda Eclectic set and elegant butterfly punch, Spellbinders dies

for this one I also  embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder

For this on I used SU dapper dad set and LifeStyle Crafts dies, message is My Sentiment Exactly

Heirloom Productions Stamp Convention

This past weekend (May 16 & 17) was the Heirloom Stamp Convention in Puyallup WA. It was even smaller than last year only 18 booths and this was including SU & CTMH.

My favorite booth is Endless Creations from WI. We spend a lot of time there not just visiting with Beth & Kevin but shopping and doing the make & takes.

Other favorites are Local King Rubber Stamps from Canada, Rubbernecker Stamps, Art Impressions/Stamptown and Tessler Stamps/Stencil Co. but we try to stop at ALL booths that are stamping related which were Creations Unlimited, B&J's Art Stamps, Just Imagine, Lost Coast Designs, Craft Fantastic, Animal Spirits Stamps, The Stamp Doctor. There are some that we just don't care for what they sell so we skip :0) doesn't meant they're not worth it for other people :0) Washi Accents, Origami Owl, Craft Fantastic, Bello Modo

The disappointment part was finding out that they have decided not to come next year to Puyallup. It would be nice if they would just find a cheaper place if the fairground is expensive any way with the amount of booths they have any meeting room in a hotel would be perfect or maybe  there is other places they could use that aren't that expensive for the companies to come. I remember when I first started attending this show it was two floors and it was so packed that was hard to see the demos and things but was fun :0)

Anyway in the next few days I'll be showing you the cards I made on the make and takes.

To start these were done at Endless Creations

This is one of the new pre-made flip flag cards. Images were colored with Copic Markers. The original card only had two wiggly eyes I added one to each fish :0)

The next two cards were in the same kit, they're note cards 3.5" x 5" I love the stamping on newsprint or music notes :0)

Shoebox Tuesday

One of my girlfriends had asked about the Bokeh technique so for today's shoebox project I let them play with this technique. I had done one card very long time ago HERE and then HERE but decided to work on some other cards I will definitely won't work on the second way as it's way too complicated or mostly too much work :0) so here are the cards I did

The message is by Imagine Rubber Works I used Distress Ink for the base and Brilliance for the dots

This one the message is by Endless Creations. Distress Ink for base and Brilliance for dots

Here I wanted them to see you don't have to only use dots both stamps are SU and the message is part of a Hero Arts stamp. All inks were Memento

This one was done also with Memento ink and the butterflies are by The Stamps of Life the message is by Imagine Rubber Works

Shoebox Thursday

For today's shoebox was another clean and simple card based on a card I saw the tutorial that I'm sorry don't remember where I already tried finding but unsuccessful it was done by a lady in the UK and the card was square but since sending a square card is more expensive in the US I made it normal A2 size.

The stamp is from the Million & One stamp set by SU, the ribbon is also SU and jewels from my stash

Shoebox Tuesday

For yesterday's shoebox project I made this clean and simple card.
