Elizabeth Design Crafts Class

I attended two classes with Els of Elizabeth Design Crafts at Impress. We used some of her dies, embossing folders and peel-off stickers. There was glitter everywhere! She had most of the things cut for us but we still got to cut one of the new dies to learn how to do it.

These were the cards we did on the first class. This first card was an easel card using the stopper die, shimmer sheetz, butterfly die & peel-off stickers

This one was a pivot die, more peel-off stickers, adhesive velvet sheets, shimmer sheetz, bird die

This one was more dies, shimmer sheetz, microfine glitter

The second class was pretty much all with microfine glitter & peel-off stickers.

This first card was one of the interlocking dies. the "image" is peel-off sticker. We did the glitter paper to color with Copic markers, we also use some of the peel-off words and dots stickers

This morning the card had fallen apart so I used red tape to glue again and then added some washi tape to enforce

This second card was also with one of the interlocking dies just different shape, we also did the glitter paper with the peel-off sticker and colored with Copic Markers. Added some peel-off words & dots stickers

This last card was done with shimmer sheetz embossed with different embossing folders then sanded. Again we did the glitter paper and colored it with Copic Markers as well as using some of the peel-off borders & words sticker

Father's day

After being frustrated with Century Link for ripping us off it felt good working on a card. This card was for Bret for father's day. I sort of bought the wrong stamp as I thought it was tools but since Bret has been doing a lot of cleaning with working on the master bathroom it still worked out good :0) The stamp is by Art Impressions and I colored it with Copic Markers

Stampers' Drop In

Today was Stampers' drop-in at Impress. I couldn't go when busy working on my craft room but today I was running errands so was able to stop quickly. We made this cute sunny card

originally it was like this

but I don't like the legs of brads to show so this is how I finished it

The sun is a stencil made out of a Savvy die

Shoebox Tuesday

This week we had a second play day as now that we are more in the group is not easy to change days as before. The extra day was today and I hosted it. This is the project I made for our shoe-box the stamp is by Avery Elle (original stamp is straight but since it's clear you can stamp it any way you want)

Stampin' Up New Catalog Kick-off

I attended another SU workshop. This workshop is an open house type, you get to make as many cards as you like from the samples available. There were 9 and I came home with all 9. I didn't finish all of them there as there was some cutting and decided to use the Brother Scan N Cut which worked great

I love purple so this is my favorite card from all. If I could redo I would make the top stamp lighter so you can see the message better but I was having problem getting the ink even on the stamp and I think at the last try I stamped straight on the cs instead and on scrap then cs.

I used the Scan N Cut for the shell. We got to pick our message from the new "and many more" stamp set

I added rhinestones instead of gold sequins...don't really care for the sequins, also I changed my message, the original message was Happy Father's day

Here I also switch from gold sequins to rhinestones

I used the Scan N Cut to cut the octopus

Since I couldn't get the die to cut evenly I decided to use the Scan N Cut and it was just perfect border all around!! and no frustration from the die :0)

I use my Copic Markers to color this image & the pearls

Old card kit

Along with the books, I found a card kit to make card fronts. It had the sample plus supplies to make 12 card fronts. It was missing one of the supplies so I altered that part and also made them full cards

This was the sample that it came with

and this is how I made them

Have no idea where it came from and the supplies used other than the burlap ribbon I added

Just sharing

Since yesterday I woke up with a migraine and my pains were so bad decided to take a break on my craft room hoping I can recuperate soon to finish what is left. I'm pretty much done. I just have to find a place for a few things and wait for JoAnn's and Michaels sale on the storage boxes like the ones I'm using...yes I changed my room and now I'm only using 2 kinds one is the craft color photo boxes from Michaels and the other the media clear boxes from JoAnn's but in the mean time I can use the room and create again!! The down side of rearranging my room was that I think my vagabond broke. I tried cutting some dies yesterday with the regular sandwiches I have been using since 2011 BUT it wouldn't cut so I added another shim and it started cutting but only on my side no matter how many times I ran it it wouldn't cut the other side UNLESS I turned the paper 180º. I have contacted Sizzix to see if they have any idea of what could have happened as all I did was moved it from the desk to the floor in the living room but as far as I knew the machine was portable so that shouldn't have happened oh well will see.

These cards I made a while back when I was doing more teabag and iris folding and since I haven't done it in a while thought I would share them now...why these techniques? because I throw away all my iris folding papers that were cut figure when I decide to work on this technique I can cut the papers I need and I've been thinking of doing something with teabag, maybe when I'm done with the book kits :0)
