Celebrate

I made this card from pieces I had in my unfinished box, pretty much I had to put together the cards which I'm guessing at some point I had an idea but just was not in the mood, time or something.

The stamped used was dapper dad by SU with rich cocoa and the message is from feeling sentimental that was a sale-a-bration set also in rich cocoa punched out of decorative label

Shoebox Tuesday

My last Christmas in July project as next Tuesday we'll be in August. For this card I'm using some more of the layers I had left over from last year so the message is from more merry messages set by SU with mossy meadow ink and I stamped bramble wreath stamp by MB also with mossy meadow then anchor the wreath with a Copic multi liner hanging from the top right at the center and then just added some Nuvo Crystal Drops. I did two options one where the drops were closer to each other and one more farther  apart. The colors I used were crushed grape, oyster gray (which you can hardly see) and rhubarb crumble

Shoebox Thursday by Darlene

Darlene continue with the Christmas in July theme and had a simple clean & simple card. We used Snowfall embossing folder by Taylored Expressions then we die cut bare tree by Impression Obsession and the birds are cherry cardinals by Poppy Stamps. The message is by Gina K with cherry cobbler ink. I anchor my tree with a Copic Marker and since since it was wintery I sprayed some shimmer to it that doesn't show on the photo

Shoebox Tuesday

More Christmas in July, no many days left 😊 for this card I'm using the torn paper technique that saw with Ingrid Blackburn. I don't remember if I ever did this technique with my stamping but since my ladies on Tuesday like simple cards this was on the simple side at least in part. I used a scrap of copy paper for my torn paper and borrowed the poinsettia stamp by Peddler's Pack which was stamped with fired brick ink, the Christmas is part of a wish for everything set by SU also with fired brick, then die cut the merry from expressions thinlits die also by SU and added glossy accents, this step was optional for them, I love the dimension it gives but yes it's extra work and for some hard to do so that's why I said in part a simple card as they could decide how simple they wanted to make it 😁

I also made a Spanish version since I need for my personal use, for this that is pretty much the same except all in Spanish I also added 3 dots of liquid pearls petal pink color that you can't really see on the photo as it's so close in color to the ink

Hola

I got a new toy so wanted to play with it. I had seen Justine Hovey using Wendy Vecchi Make Art Stay-tion and for someone with OCD looked like a good thing so of course had to get it, and Saturday was Impress 32nd Anniversary and my hubby Bret was so nice to take me as it's too far for me to drive there. He said I couldn't stay long and I am glad I didn't, there were just too many temptations LOL anyway one of the ladies that was doing demos was also using this and gave me more ideas so of course I had to play with it to see how good it would be for me and I do love it.

This is the first card I made on it. I did double stenciling using the magnets to hold the stencils down while I used my blending tools and it did perfectly...I used seedless preserves oxide with the first stencil that was square mandala by Gina K Designs and wild honey oxide with ray of light mix-ables stencil by MFT that was the second stencil then I used the ruler that comes with the mat to align my letters and finally applied glossy accents on top of letters for dimension

I did other card front but haven't finished them but they were so easy to do no adhesive needed on the stencil and the clean up of the mat was as nice and easy as my Tim Holtz glass mat.

Shoebox Thursday

Another Christmas in July project for today. This time we are using baby wipe as ink pad. I saw a tutorial with Jennifer McGuire using a bunch of ink and doing a rainbow pattern well I just did a simple two colors to use up some of the layers I had from last year. This time the message was from more merry messages by SU with rhubarb stalk ink and the inks with the baby wipe were distress oxide reinker candied apple and distress ink regular ink pine needles. I don't own a lot of reinkers as I just like to buy new ink pads than add reinkers. The stamp is poinsettia silhouette by MB and I have two choices one just leave as is

or two add buttercup liquid pearls in the center of the poinsettias and of course they could do their coloring straight or in an angles, the red on top or bottom. I actually like on top the red but I was playing and didn't want to waste the paper so at the end just stamp again the message and the way I inked I had to put my message under red 😊

Shoebox Tuesday

Continuing with Christmas in July with my projects this is another very simple card. I had a bunch of top layers from last year that I was going a card so stamped my message from special season set by SU with mossy meadow added my adhesive on back and after doing my first card it didn't work adding the adhesive first so had to re-do every card so of course couldn't toss this layers as they were cut stamped and had adhesive on the back so they were set aside for something else well that didn't happen last year so this year it is LOL this is the first thing

I stamped the poinsettia stamp by PB with Gina K amalgam ink a couple times as it wasn't black enough for me then decided to color with the technique we learned at the show last June using the one of the stamps from the watercolor background set by Rubbernecker Stamps and since I don't have watercolor powder I used distress spray stain candied apple. You apply the color to the stamp and then stamp on paper, it gives the watercolor look, for the leaves I was too lazy to look for a smaller stamp to do the same thing so just used the waterbrush to apply pine needles distress ink reinker but didn't cover the whole image just splash it so it would be as uneven as the stamp. It needed a little bling so I added peacock liquid pearls by Ranger

Warm wishes

I saw this card fold at Stamp with Susie, I used the stamp of the month by The Stamps of Life wreath2stamp with real red, cherry cobbler and wild wasabi, cut my note card with double stitched rectangle die by Kat Scrappiness and for the inside used a 3/4" circle punch for my pocket

Life is better

I saw a card at Cards by Beth that was pretty and simple to make and since I was trying to finish a box of card I was donating I figure if I didn't need it for the box it would go in my stash. I used rectangle stitched framelits dies to cut my layers, I stamped my images with intense black ink and colored with Copic markers

Shoebox Thursday

Continuing with Christmas in July another clean and simple Christmas card, and since I don't believe Christmas has to be red, green and blue this card is orange 😊 mainly because I had my Nuvo drops on my desk from when we went to the show last month and why not use them so I just found an ink pad that match one of the bottles and orange was the first I found so carved pumpin was pretty much the same as ripened pumpkin Nuvo Crystal drops. We used holiday filigree set by Inkadinkado

Paper Pumpkin

These cards were done with the June 2018 Broadway Star kit. All paper supplies except for the card base were from the kit. For the first card, I used paper pumpkin's April 2016 bonus set all about everything with lemon lime twist ink

Party mouse

One of my foster cousin's kids was having a 6th birthday and don't seem to have lots of kids in my mailing list so it was fun making this card for her. I used party mouse stamp by Stampabilities with jet black ink colored with Copic markers, and framed it with scallop square die by PPP which was mounted on foam

Happy 70th

Today's our brother-in-law's birthday, it is a big milestone for him with all his health struggles. Because he has 4 brothers and one of them is out of state my sister had his birthday party a month in advance that we all were available. I made the party favors and her theme was old newsprint so looking into my papers found this paper that was perfect for the band and then I had to add an embellishment that would go with it that was also something that he like so I picked hats as he likes wearing hats mainly baseball hats but those are not very old fashion but he has some old fashion so those are the ones I picked. The message were stamped with ground espresso ink punched with story label by SU and the brads are by Eyelet Outlet.

This is the card I made him. Very similar to the one I made for Bret but with different papers and I changed the dimensions to a little bigger was easier to stand with 3/4" instead or 1/2"

I used SU's number of years set with amalgam jet black ink stamped on vellum
