Filled with smiles

While checking my unfinished boxed I had this butterfly topper I used the butterfly which was from the butterfly thinlits by SU, for something years ago and I decided to save the negative part because it could be used for something but never did anything well finally did! I found this paper paper and liked it then I looked for a message that was long enough to go across and found this one by Mama Elephant hello friend and of course had to embellish was going to go with pearls but grabbed Nuvo Crystal Drops oyster gray

Happy Thanksgiving

Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving however you choose to spend it. We are spending the holiday with our adoptive family like every year no better way to spend the holiday. They say friends is the chosen family well to me it is better than family as we are not force to be with each other we like being with each other

This is the card I made for Bret, it's similar to the card I gave him for our anniversary back in August here, but for this one I used the dimension and style Rachel Tessman did a couple weeks ago.

I used American Crafts paper, the messages on the front are by SU from the sets painted harvest and a wish for everything and two punches large oval and story label both by SU; the message on the inside is Happy Fall by Gina K Design all the stamping was done with orange cream crisp dye ink

Grateful for you

I was trying to make a card for our 9 year old granddaughter and wasn't sure what to do, been a while I don't do cards for kids and I didn't want to use the same turkey I used for her last year so I remember she and her mom got their picture taken with the pumpkins last year and then again this year so decided to do that for her card obviously mine had to be shiny so this was my take

I used hay stack paper I had then gold glitter paper, attached the rhinestone pumpkin I got years ago at Michaels and fuzzy cut the pumpkin which was attached to a piece of 3D piece of hay paper then the peel-off stickers were also attached to the same gold glitter paper and fuzzy cut, the stems were colored with Copic markers, the message is from autumn wreath builder set by Gina K Design with mocha crisp dye ink punched with EK circle 1-3/4" & 2"

Shoebox Thursday

For today's project I made a simple card with the same products almost as here as I still have the punch, stamp and die out so I just changed the papers and inks

For this card I used because the paper I die cut the Washington State map was white I sponged it with old paper ink so it would match more to the beigy background paper. This die is by Impress. The hello from Washington is by Biblical Impressions and was stamped with brushed corduroy ink and punched with scallop oval by SU. Both the map and the oval were both sponged on the edges with brushed corduroy

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's project I had a card that was simple that I made originally for an anniversary card as a product of a Sunday Tip or Technique and decided it was simple enough to make it a shoebox. I used a die to do my squares BUT gave them a choice to either cut their squares with the die or cut it with cutter or x-acto knife obviously with die they would have the faux stitched the other options they wouldn't so they all chose the die.

The original faux pinwheel TT was a square 5.25" but in the US to mail square cards cost extra so I wanted to make rectangle cards. Years ago I had made this card I believe the square was 1" or 1.25" but I just grab one I liked the size and started cutting my squares and turned out to be 1.5" which made it too big so had to cut two points but it was fine it didn't bother me, surprisingly LOL the leave was die cut from nested maple leaves by Spellbinders, for the anniversary card the message is from floral anniversary card set with aged mahogany

for this card the message is by Impress also with aged mahogany

ah the squares if from the die set stitched square stax by MFT

Two for one

When I saw the card Stephanie Wincott made I thought it was perfect. I don't know if she made it like me or not but I created my card in a way that I could ended up having two for one cards. I stamped one background and made two cards and with the stamping tool was even easier. They were anniversary cards a bit different as the opening of the heart was on the opposite side of both cards

I first stamped the music background stamp is by MFT with black soot ink then I die cut my heart which is from the set hearts to die for then stamped my heart from hearts2diefor both are by The Stamps of Life, used rose bud ink, then I cut my background in half. On the piece that I was using the left side I stamped happy anniversary by Stamp A Mania with black soot

On the one I use the right side, I used thinking of you also by Stamp A Mania same ink but also added the happy anniversary from SU's teeny tiny wishes set

the twine was from my stash, the background layer was mounted on foam

Autumn flower

These were cards that went into my donation box to Gray Matters Foundation. I like the autumn flower stamp by Stampendous for main image or for inside message on this card I used it for my main image and looked in my stash of washi tape as I'm trying to use them up, seems at one time I was getting too many and my drawer got over flown so need space to fit all my rolls. I colored the leaves with Copic markers,

3rd Birthday

Our grand-daughter turn 3 years old yesterday and this is the card I made her. Since I still had all the supplies from making my card from last Monday I decided to make her card using the same idea but on hers I used the balloon

This time I decided to start with a blue layer since the balloon was on the air. I didn't find a die that could fit the stamp and PPP don't sell one either at least I didn't see on in their site so I had to fuzzy cut the outline. I did do my clouds first since I was doing the whole panel, used paper template and tumbled glass ink and sponge dauber then decided it didn't show much so I sponged some here and there with broken china ink then cut the balloon and attached the number 3 on foam which was part of the poppin' birthday paper pumpkin March 2019 and attached the white bakers twine that was from a past paper pumpkin. I layered the blue panel on foam then stamped my balloon image with amalgam whisper ink, then cover each dots with Nuvo Crystal Drops gloss crushed grape, gross midnight blue, gross woodland green and gloss dandelion yellow. The message is from the paper pumpkin kit with faded jeans ink

for the inside I used an insert from the paper pumpkin used the bows from the kit added the bows with an angle so they would pop the middle bow was white and gray so I colored with barely banana ink. The message is precious memories by Stampendous

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's project I had a messy project using distress spray stain I have them 3 colors and of course each card came out different depending on how far or how close, how much or how little you press the stray it's how much stain you get. After they did their spray they heat set their paper and then stamped the image which was autumn leaf collage by Memory Box with VersaFine Clair fallen leaves. My card I didn't heat set as I had plenty of time to dry and looking at my recipe I also used one oxide spray color. The colors I gave them were candied apple, shaded lilac and scattered straw. the oxide I used was cracked pistachio these are the cards I made using this colors. The layers were cut with double stitched rectangle die by Kat Scrappiness and rectangle stitched framelits by SU. The outer piece, the frame was mounted on foam and the inside piece was mounted flat

Anniversary

Today is one of my dear friend's wedding anniversary and this is the card I sent her and her hubby. I wanted to use this new stamp butterfly for a while but seems never had enough time so made time finally and decide the combine with this other set so I could play with my Nuvo Drops.

Día de Muertos

Today we celebrate the day of the dead. In Mexico we use the skeletons as one of the customs whether sugar or chocolate so my card is supposed to be a sugar skull. I'm also doing one of the Sunday Tip or Technique that were share of spinner card

The washi tape is from Impress but other than that don't know who makes it, for my skull I die cut two one in pink and one in black it wasn't a perfect mirror image but almost. I used my Copic airbrush system to color a packaging piece of plastic which was stronger than acetate this was supposed to be my "sugar" part then I glue the pink skull to one side and black to the other side and then fuzzy cut around it did two tiny holes on each side to attach fishing cord on each side and then twisted and twisted so it could spin so fun! that's what you would do before putting in envelope so when they take out it will spin right away 😊 the skull die is by Ellentina, the message is from sugar skulls by HA with tuxedo black

Thanks

Quick cards made out of a scrapbook paper the whole paper had the pumpkins as a border to add the pictures on top but of course as card maker this paper was not useful at least it wasn't for many years until I decided to cut it into pieces and made it into thank you cards the top part of the 12 x 12 I tossed it. Message was stamped with ground espresso and the banner was punched with triple banner punch by SU
