Birthday Blitz

Today I attended a SU workshop with some friends with one of the local SU demonstrators. We got to make 10 cards 2 each of 5 designs.

For these first two cards, we used perennial birthday stamp set with dapper denim, flirty flamingo, lemon lime twist & berry burst inks and rhinestones

the inside was to be stamp directly to the card base BUT I personally don't like that first card cardstock is not thick enough so it shows through and second I like using liners that ways if I messed up while writing my personal message I can just remove the liner and add a new one even if I don't have the same stuff I used on the workshop I can just add my own message

For these two cards, we used seaside textured impressions embossing folder, layering squares framelits dies and the set waterfront. The message is from the set above perennial birthday. Inks were dapper denim, garden green, so safron, the pool party & chocolate chip were both stamped off. I mounted my squares on foam, don't remember if it was or not but I did on mine 😊

These two card are the same but with different color DSP papers so we used rich razzleberry and marina mist inks the set is one of the sale-a-bration items happy wishes and some pearls the DSP was sweet soiree specialty and we also used silver foil sheet

For these two cards, we used polka dot basics texture impressions embossing folder, two of the freebies sale-a-bration items celebrate you thinlits die and party pandas set. The pandas were to be stamped with basic black ink but as you know I don't like that ink so I used tuxedo black, we used the 1-3/4" circle punch and I colored my party hats with Copic markers instead of stampin write markers 😊 all 3 circles are raised with foam but the center I did it higher than the two on the outside, not because they were that way I just because liked it better

and last but not least these last cards the DSP was different just because when you get the packs they not always have enough for all who come to the events but they do have the colors you need so we did one of each of the patterns available from the true gentlemen DSP pack, the background was done with burlap stamp with crumb cake ink, the message was done with night of navy with better together set. On the message piece we also stamped the burlap with the stamped off crumb cake so it wasn't as dark. Once again I used a liner for my inside message, we also used burlap ribbon and an enamel dot from the regal pack

Winter deer

Another quick and easy male birthday card. I die cut this scene die 3 times well, the first time was a ful die cut in navy blue then I die cut in pieces brown and green. The message is one of those stamps that doesn't have a company on the wood, it as stamped with hybrid licorice black. The card is just in between the notecard and A2 size

SU Workshop

Today we attended a Stampin Up workshop with one of the local demonstrator. We got to make 3 cards.

This first card was using two of the freebies from sale-a-bration one was beautiful peacock and the other shimmer pack ribbon, 1/4" basic gray. For the stamping we used basic gray, fresh fig, lemon lime twist, night of navy & powder pink. The message was punch out of the 1" circle punch. Not sure if you can see but between the fresh fig cardstock there is a layer of basic gray cardstock...there is 1/8" between the fresh fig and basic gray and 1/16" between the basic gray and whisper white

For this card, we used petal palette set with lemon lime twist ink and it was supposed to be basic black but since I don't like that ink we used tuxedo black 😊 the papers are from the petal passion DSP and the ribbon is lemon lime twist 1/4" ombre

and for the last card, we had part of the base embossed with softly falling textured impressions embossing folder, the stamping was done with magical day set, the message with berry burst ink and was mounted on top of dazzling diamonds glimmer paper; Lisa had pre-stamped and die cut the mermaid and seahorse to make things quicker so I can only assume it was done with tuxedo black since we were supposed to color with alcohol markers but since they were predone they could have been done with basic black ink 😊 as after complete dry maybe the ink is ok, don't know if that ink is ok for those markers since I don't like it to own one. I used my Copic Markers to do the coloring on my images and they were mounted with foam. The paper is from myths & magic specialty DSP. I added some Wink of Stella on the mermaid instead of glitter

Winter thanks OSW

These cards were in my donation box and of course made some for my personal use. I do winter cards so of course had to do some thank you cards for the donation box I did forget that when you do that you have to fill the box really quick so you can mail fast so they can use them before March 21st LOL so hopefully they will have enough time to use all the cards!

For all cards I cut my papers about about the same size and then used a lace edge border die set to cut in two each piece of paper. This first card that was for my personal use I used a set by Hero Arts called thank you messages with espresso truffle ink

for this next card, used the same set and ink

and for this last card, I used many thanks set by Echo Park also with espresso truffle ink

Shoebox Thursday

For today's shoebox project I have a very simple card using one of the sale-a-brations items this year. The idea was from Pinterest by My Creative Corner.

I think she used the smaller dragonfly anyway I used carved pumpkin ink for my stamping, the set is heartfelt blooms. The rhinestones are from my stash. I did cut my top layer smaller for my friends as after I finished my card decided that I would have liked a bigger frame. On this one is 1/16" which is my favorite for a while now

Happy Valentine's Day

Wishing you a happy friendship and love day. This is card I made for Bret. When I got the stamp I wanted some sort of accordion card so each of the chicks would have it's on panel well after a lot of playing around this is what I did, not easy to display actually as you can't see all the images but oh well as long as Bret likes it is good enough for me 😊

This is how I gave it to Bret, he's not very fond of belly bands because he has a hard time sliding them off and sometimes putting them back on so to fix that problem

I put magnets instead so it doesn't slide it opens and closes from the back

it really needed a belly band because it was too thick on the top and it would not close at all!

The image is hearty chick by Stamping Belly stamped with hybrid licorice black and colored with Copic Markers

This first layer goes/flips down so you can see the next image/layer

the next image/layer goes/flips left so you can see the next image/layer

this layer goes/flips right so you can see the bottom layer. This message is by Stampa Rosa stamped with tuxedo black

when you lift all the layers you can see the other message and where you can write the personal message

the top message is hope your...by Memory Box with tuxedo black ink and the other message is by A Muse Artstamps also with tuxedo black ink

I used The Stamps of Life rectangles and squares stitched dies to cut layers
