Celebrate

For this card used the create-a-scene card die set by The Stamps of Life & create-a-scene-celebrate but because I have OCD didn’t cut the card base with the die just the layers. I know it would have been so much easier but when you die cut the back has marks from the plate and the more used your plate the more marks it leaves.

For the base used Recollections 110 Lb. elementary cardstock the message is from balloon adventures stamp set by SU 142823 with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink

It's your day

My sister is always giving me ALTOID empty boxes to reuse and this time she needed something for a coworker that is getting married so this is what I made.

It's hard to cover the top edge because is ¼” edge normally I try to leave it as is but found a washi tape that was the right size and match the project so cover around it twice so it would cover the reddish color, for the bottom used a silver glittery washi tape.

For the top and inside I decided to decorate with blending ergonomic blending brush and my DIY cloud stencil and whatever Tim Holtz oxide blue inks was left all over the piece of cardstock. Used 1" mini corner rounder punch set by EK Success to round the corners. The flowers are left over from the Create & connect class from PinkFresh Studio Whimsical Blooms Bundle picked the washi tape flowers that has orange and yellow colors and also added some butterflies from the botanical and butterflies bundle by Pinkfresh Studio which includes layered stencils, colored with Altenew crisp dye inks, stamp set with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink and die. Colors used were from warm and cozy collection orange cream, and from pocketful of sunshine collection fresh lemon, maple yellow & honey drizzle. The message is one that I had done previously with glimmer hot foil plate sentiments II by Spellbinders and die cut with Altenew’s featured sentiments die set

For the inside did the same, left right area blank for personal message. For the inside message cut two stamps to be able to create the message from congrats stamp & cut by HA with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink

Best wishes

These cards were for the heroes in my city. The Algona Police Department.

Used for white cardstock Accent Opaque Digital International Paper 80 lb. cover smooth except for card base that is Recollections 110 lb. white cardstock.

Started by die cutting the slimline burst builder die set by Trinity Stamps out of scraps. I didn’t cut the die cut apart to make it easier and used one of the full die cut pieces as a template to put it back together on to a white layer. Picked scraps of 9 colors and pretty much was able to do all the cards for the police. Die cut a layer of black Recollections 110 lb. cardstock with Cindy Echtinaw Designs Card Creator Perfect Layers A then cut the front layer to fit about 1/16” border. Had some circles left over from other projects, the white was about 1-3/4” and the black 2” so used those for the message 3 on top and 2 under the black. Also cut just a bit from the bottom Message is from heart smiles stamp set by Pinkfresh Studio with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink

On the Saturday with Bridget workshop for Saturday March 18 the educator was Pam Boedeker and she taught Dip Dye techniques with watercolor. I really don’t like watercolor, watercolor & I don’t play good with each other LOL but I tried one of the techniques.

Tried Hero Arts watercolor paper that came in a kit but it didn’t work paper just crumble when adding water so turned to Tim Holtz watercolor paper which always works good. Masked the top for the message area then added clean water then let the watercolor drip using watercolor brush markers tropical fiesta set by Altenew, one color at a time starting with crimson, sunkissed, fresh lemon, lime and turquoise. Let dry a bit and removed mask then added black strip for message mounted layer to an A2 card base of Recollection 110 lb. white cardstock

normally I leave cards without message if I can until I need them so I can add the message I need for the person I'm sending specially since I send to Mexico and message should be in Spanish and I don't have a lot of messages to fit my needs. I needed a birthday card so used beautiful inside stamp set with obsidian pigment exceptionally crisp ink both by Altenew

Blobby roses

For these cards, all white cardstock is Accent Opaque Digital International Paper cover smooth 80 lb. except the card base that is 120 lb.

I started by grabbing a piece of  white cardstock about 6x6 just about the same size as the layered stencils blobby roses by Altenew then I started working the layers. I used Tim Holtz distress oxide inks and small blending brushes. Leaves: pine needles & lucky clever. Flowers: fossilized amber, antique linen, squeezed lemonade. Cut layer with double stitched rectangle die by Kat Scrappiness and matted with a layer of Park Lane 110 lb. smooth black solid core cardstock cut with Cindy Echtinaw Designs Card Creator Perfect Layers A the left over set aside for another card then mounted all to an A2 card base. For my messages I used blockandscriptsentiments2stamp set by The Stamps of Life with VersaFine Clair nocturne

To finish the other card I used the matching dies blobby roses die set by Altenew I was only able to cut one of the flowers which I mounted 3 layers plus the colored one, the cut piece mounted on a scrap of Park Lane 110 lb. smooth black solid core cardstock then on by A2 card base which was folded to make an easel then since I still had a small piece of stenciled paper I mounted it to black stamped the message from stamp set Beautiful inside by Altenew with VersaFine Clair nocturne and attached as the stopper

Happy Easter

Hope you all have a great Easter.

I saw a card on the blog of LeeAnn Greff, Flowerbug’s Stampin’ that inspired me to make this card for Bret. The only thing I did like her was the card base size.

To decorate the top, I embossed 4 colors of scrap cardstock with Easter egg background by Darice embossing essentials, then cut the pieces so they would be continued but leaving a space in between the 4 pieces to fill the folded part. For my centerpiece decided to do a shaker element so die cut 8 pieces of the happy Easter egg steel craft die by MB of scraps of black cardstock and for the back cover with scrap of blue cardstock then filled with micro beads then added acetate and then another black piece to attach the shaker cut two pieces same color of each side (yellow and green); for the stopper added a cloud to which added a bit of color with Tim Holtz distress tumbled glass and then added two  layers of grass edge punch by Martha Stewart Crafts and marshmallow bunny die by Taylored Expressions added tiny rhinestones for nose & eyes, the tie is part of the die and used red mirror paper.

Hello

For this card, all white cardstock is Accent Opaque Digital International Paper cover smooth 80 lb. except card base that is 120 lb.

Started with a 6x6 piece of white cardstock then used the bold flowers layered stencils from the A little hello bundle by Gina K Design with Tim Holtz distress oxide ink prize ribbon for the dot, ripe persimmon & fossilized amber for the small flower, wilted violet, villainous potion & fossilized amber for the big flower, shabby shutters & peeled paint for the single leaves, mowed lawn & rustic wilderness for the vine leaves. The I die cut with double stitched rectangle die by Kat Scrappiness and the leftover piece with Hz stitched strips by MFT and set this piece aside for another card. Then die cut with black glossy card stock the big hello from the bundle. Didn’t add any other embellishments. Mounted the piece to a layer of Recollections 65 lb. Purple passions pack cardstock  which die cut with Cindy Echtinaw Designs Card Creator Perfect Layers A and then mounted to an A2 card base

for the piece that I set aside for another card since I made more than one card made this card. Mounted both pieces to 65 lb. smooth texture boysenberry cardstock by Core-dinations Foundations then mounted each piece to each end of an A2 card base then mounted another piece of the boysenberry cardstock in the middle and then on top I mounted a scrap of white where I stamped wishing you well stamp by Savvy Stamps with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink then added some Darice rhinestone setter hot-fix embellishments.

Challenge

I have been joining the Saturday with Bridget workshop that has Altenew Educators along with other card makers and they have a challenge every week. For the week of March 11 was given by Deara and she gave us two things the use of embossing folder and a card sketch she did, this was my take.

All white cardstock is Accent Opaque Digital International Paper 80 lb. cover smooth white cardstock except card base that is Recollections 110 lb. white cardstock. All product is Altenew unless otherwise noted.

On one layer of white I ran it through with the beautiful Bergenia 3D embossing folder then cut it so I could layer to a die cut layer of Recollections 110 lb. black cardstock with Cindy Echtinaw Designs Card Creator Perfect Layers A for the sketch design I decided to use washi tape and stitched oval dies by The Stamps of Life and instead of image just add my message which was from home sweet home outline stamp set with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink. Used 2 black and 3 white pieces.

Doodle Bouquet

Took a class or workshop with Pam Boedeker, Educator from Altenew and this is the card I made. Unfortunately, I didn’t have Altenew supplies for this class so used other products.

Die cut the handpicked flowers coordinating cuts by PinkFresh Studio then stamped with its stamp set with Altenew crisp permanent black ink that is alcohol markers friendly ink and with my Copic marker 100 started going around covering all the white areas then color all flowers and the stems. I should have done the coloring first and then black to me seems easier as I think colored some leaves in black instead of green LOL. I decided to use the matching layered stencils instead of coloring with markers.

Altenew crisp dye ink baby pink & fuchsia from the spring bouquet collection; wisteria & hydrangea from the enchanted garden collection; soft lilac & lavender fields from the shades of purple collection; orange cream from the warm and cozy collection; sunkissed & autumn blaze also from the warm and cozy collection; sunkissed & orange cream from the same warm and cozy collection; Fresh dye ink silver sage from the frosted foliage collection.

Then die cut a few more layers of the flower for dimension and mounted to a layer of Recollections 110 lb. black cardstock die cut with glass effects Shapeabilities by Spellbinders and mounted to an A2 card base of Recollections 110 lb. white cardstock

As always I leave my cards without message until I need them and for this I needed a birthday card so used one of my gold glimmer foil messages I have premade. It was from the glimmer plate everyday sentiments II by Spellbinders

Challenge

I have been joining the Saturday with Bridget workshop that has Altenew Educators along with other card makers and they have a challenge every week. For the week of March 18 it was no stamping, ombre ink blending, layers, a color we don’t like and creative used of not stamped sentiment. I missed that also was textured but guess with the beads I covered it LOL I don’t really dislike any color I just forget to use some colors as I try to go for the same colors all the time so one of the ladies picked orange for me

All white cardstock is Accent Opaque Digital International Paper 80 lb. cover smooth white cardstock except card base that is Recollections 110 lb. white cardstock.

I used peaches & cream Color Mates World Win cardstock all 4 tones for the deep, medium & the white used Cindy Echtinaw Designs Card Creator Perfect Layers A to die cut the layers, for dark used Cindy Echtinaw Designs Card Creator Perfect Layers B. I also die cut a piece of white with HA infinity nested rectangle shapes die set and on this piece blended with Tim Holtz distress oxide inks dried marigold, spiced marmalade, ripe persimmon. Then mounted all the layers together and then the an A2 card base then die cut 6 layers in white of balloon shaker die by PPP glued them all to the card added the beads then die cut another one with the light orange glued it to acetate and cut it around and cover the shaker.
