Christmas in July

These were part of last year's one sheet wonder pieces. I had cut several sheets of paper to make cards for my donation box and I didn't finish all the papers in part because my box got full and in part I got tired, yes surprised I got tired of Christmas cards LOL but I had done some many at once to finish a flat rate box that was just in a mood for something else. They all were like this

just using the different papers, for the paper on top and bottom I used holly swirls folder by Sizzix

for this one, I used snowflakes folder by Cuttlebug

and for this one, I used stylish stripes by SU

Christmas in July

One more card with the same layout as I had done early this week as I found another paper I could use :0) for these I used the two languages in English I used the set star of light by SU and in Dutch, I used Papertrey Ink's global greetings Christmas wishes. I punched my ornament with SU punch and then embossed with Cuttlebug's season's greetings embossing folder

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's shoebox project I have a Christmas card as we're still in Christmas in July :0) I think I saw this card by Judy May last year or maybe it was by someone else either way, when I saw Judy May's recently it reminded me I wanted to make it so I finally did!!

I used Elizabeth Crafts dies for my ornaments and I decided not to put a message so I could use it either for people in the States or Mexico if I decide. I know I could add a message in Spanish and let it be for Mexico since now and have a message for my friends in English but I didn't like the font on any of the ones in Spanish that fit. Surprisingly when they do make stamps in Spanish they use ugly fonts; and I didn't think about it ahead of time to print something with computer so it stayed with no message :0)

The folder is softly falling by SU. On the second card because I was in such a hurry trying an easier way to add the beads easier forgot to embossed so I randomly stamped the star dust from star of light set by SU with tumbled glass ink...we only did the first card but thought I would show you both cards for those of you don't don't have embossing folders so you can see another alternative to add texture. Since its a shaker card which already has dimension I didn't want to add more dimension so I added the string of the ornaments with Copic Marker plus I didn't have anything other than white baker's twine to use and didn't like white on white. The micro beads I had forever so not sure where I got them

Can you tell I have too many papers that work for this layout? I do like this layout makes nice quick and easy cards so here is another card. Also in two languages. I used the jolly hat builder punch by SU but flipped it to the other side. Same two sets and in the other cards sweet essentials by SU and global greetings Christmas wishes by Papertrey Ink

Christmas in July

After doing yesterday's cards I decided to do some more as I really like how they came out and that I could use papers I could not use for cards :0)

On these ones, I also made on other languages using Papertrey Ink's set global greetings Christmas wishes with rhubarb stalk ink, and I found some pieces of embossed paper on my scraps so used them to punched my ornament punch by SU, I think it was snowflakes by Cuttlebug

for this one was the same sweet essential SU's set with rhubarb stalk ink

Shoebox Thursday

For today's shoebox project I had a very clean and simple card inspired by a summer card Carolina Evans did using DSP. Since I am with Christmas in July I did mine with Christmas paper. Her card was just DSP and a message in a tag so that's where I changed my layout.

I did my layer just like she did BUT instead of adding the message on the tag I did it on the opening with a message from the sweet essential set by SU with rhubarb stalk ink and then added a Christmas shaped that went with my paper. The punch is jolly hat builder punch by SU

New great grand daughter

One of my dearest friends has a brand new great grand daughter as of last week so this is the card I made for her and her husband and mom

I love this fold, but I had a hard time finding a place to write my message so found a solution...adding a flap on one side, it was small it could have been bigger or add two even flaps but decided to go for just one and work perfectly for my needs :0)

The onesie (stamped with rose bud) is by The Stamps of Life as well as the welcome (stamped with tuxedo black), baby is part of celebrate today SU's set also stamped in tuxedo black and girl is part of  endless birthdays wishes also by SU and tuxedo black ink, the little charm was in my stash that I think I must have gotten it at a baby shower and saved it for a future used and since I was hand-delivering the card didn't have to worry about postage or getting broken

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's shoebox project I decided to play with one of the Sunday Tip or Technique that was shared on one of my Yahoo Groups. It was sort of fun, I did have to wear gloves because I don't like messy but otherwise it's a cool way to add color with texture. Since we're in Christmas in July time and I love that saying I had to do a Christmas card :0) all the stamps are from The Stamps of Life set lights4Christmas. The technique was adding the ink with Saran wrinkled wrap and I used distress inks mowed lawn, barn door, mermaid lagoon & fossilized amber. I stamped with tuxedo black and London fog

Best of flowers

These cards were inspired by something on Pinterest and yes once again I'm bad as I didn't take note of from whom it was when I wasn't paying attention on who was doing the cards, do appreciated the idea was just getting too many ideas and getting working on them and later was too lazy to go back and check mostly because seemed that the first time it was so easy to find the card and when I went back it just wasn't showing up that easy

I used for my background the love triangle embossing folder by Cuttlebug, best of flowers set by SU with several memento ink pads and 1-1/4" scallop circle punch also by SU to punch out the flowers. The message is by Stamp A Mania

Graduation

My favorite and only nephew graduated from Secundaria which is equivalent to 9th grade on Friday don't know if he already got his card or not as it takes forever for mail to get to Mexico. Also, the daughter of my hair dresser graduated from College & High School at the same time so I made the same card for both of them. The idea was from Stacey's corner.

I used stitched rectangles die by The Stamps of Life for the two big layer cuts and double stitched rectangles die from Kat Scrappiness for the opening of my shaker card as I needed the stitching to be on the opening not on the piece that was staying off. The graduation hat is from My Creative Time set here's lookin' at you and class of 2017 is from CTMH set class of in tuxedo black ink. The junk in the shaker card are sequins that I have been setting aside that I don't like from past paper pumpkins that surprisingly matched my cardstock so of course had to use so I didn't have to go buy something LOL

Card in a flash

Today I attended a SU workshop with two of the local demonstrators it was their way of combining a stamp-a-stack and one sheet wonder into a quick 12 card set. What they did was all base in a DSP pack and whisper white cardstock that's it, no other papers. So they cut the DSP 5.25x4 giving you 6 pieces and the rest were 3/4x4 pieces and from there all cards were done using the same pieces. We did use a lot of the ribbons and a lot of pieces were mounted on dimensionals but they didn't have to, some that they had I didn't and some they didn't I did :0) and other than a little other detail pretty much I didn't change from their simple quick on the go cards. All supplies are SU.

For these two cards, we stamped the main images exactly the same, layout was almost the same just different papers. Sets Sunshine sayings and Oh so eclectic; inks emerald envy & lemon lime twist, classic label. What I added was I rubbed my main piece on the ink pad to add some color as It needed some color and since we had not other papers it just gave it that extra color not plain white :0) ribbon was the ugly crinkled seam binding on one and the other I'm guessing finely woven

For these next two cards, again pretty much same lay-out on one we wrapped the twine around the strip of paper with a bow the other, the ribbon was on the bottom layer and the strip of paper was cut as banner same size as the banner with the message.

These again I rubbed the main piece on ink pad to do color and since my hand shaked a bit one had a lot of ink but I was ok with it, surprisingly LOL Set watercolor wings; ink emerald envy, lemon lime twist, peekaboo peach & soft sky; ribbon whisper white solid Baker's twine, ombre lemon lime twist

For these next two cards, again we stamped the main image identical so was the message. On one we added the ugly crinkled seam binding and on the other the striped grosgrain ribbon. Again I rubbed the main image on the ink pad to give a tint of color on the edge also on the right card I cut my message smaller than 3/4" Set Colorful seasons

For these cards, we switched a bit on the main image by color and how we filled the empty space but otherwise same thing

Set watercolor wings; inks fresh fig, berry burst, night of navy & soft sky; ribbon finely woven berry burst & I think classic weave soft sky but it could also be shimmer pool party...since the pieces were already cut for us have a hard time telling a part which is which LOL

For these two cards, we used again colorful seasons set for both cards, same message on both, I did the same of rubbing the ink pad on the edge to give a tint on edges one I mounted flat the other on foam. Inks soft suede, fresh fig & rich razzleberry

Last two cards, these are complete different image on the front as we used two of the same set  beautiful you. On the one on the right, it was more monochromatic using emerald envy ink for everything, this time instead of rubbing the main image I did the message which I mounted on foam and the main image flat but the ribbon was the ombre lemon lime twist.
On the card on the left, I decided to use the other side of the strip instead of the one they used, didn't care for the pattern with the pattern we were using, again, I rubbed the image piece on ink pad and I mounted both the message and main image on foam for this one we used night of navy and lemon lime twist inks, the ribbon I think was classic weave soft sky

If you are looking for a quick way of using up your DSP and not using a lot of stamps set this is a great way to make lots of cards pretty quick, no coloring and lots of cards done in short time
