Paper Pumpkin

For my picnic paradise July 2018 kit I made mostly 4x4 cards although I did some A2 cards most of them went to one of my donation box as they were on my drawer and then needed to fill a box so had to use my stash to fill the box. Seems like I always end up doing that. Once I wanted to do the tip that Jennifer McGuire had about having your cards all ready to just mail but since my stash of cards not always end up for personal use would be double work having to be removing my envelopes to add blank envelope to add on my donation box plus I use mostly A6 and the donation box always A2 unless cards are bigger anyway here are the card

except for the card bases that I had to provide since the kit was 3D baskets and 3x3 cards everything paper was from kit

For this set, I used the kit's set with poppy parade ink for the last two granny apple green and blueberry brushel inks also for my background I used buffalo check with crumb cake ink

For this set, I used double stitched rectangle die by Kat Scrappiness, the kit's set with poppy parade ink for the last two of these set granny apple green and blueberry brushel inks with flora and flutter December 2017 paper pumpkin set

For this set,  I used on the first card the kit's set with poppy parade ink for the last two granny apple green and blueberry brushel inks with flora and flutter December 2017 paper pumpkin set

Shoebox Thursday by Darlene

For today's project Darlene had a clean and simple card using the a mother's flair set by SU. We stamped it with VersaFine Clair nocturne and very carefully applied stampin blend markers to color the flower as this ink is not alcohol marker friendly, the ovals were die cut with Spellbinders dies.

Beach Scenes cards kits

These cards were done with Stamp On It! glitter film & vintage hues card kit 1. I fixed my frames as I wanted more of the image to show than the what it would have shown if I used the frame that came in the kit but otherwise everything else was from kit

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's project I have a simple technique that I haven't done in a while but Gina K reminded me recently when she did her guest showcase at SSS with her out of the box YouTube video tutorial so thought I would do it as it's simple enough for my friends too. I used distress oxide inks for my block with blending tool faded jeans, peacock feather and broken China; the flowers are from CTMH's stamp of the month set paper garden with VersaFine Clair nocturne and the words are from Gina K hugs set; for my embellishments decided to add enamel accents black by Ranger

Paper Pumpkin

One more card with Hugs from Shelli kit from this month. Catching up with my email saw a card by Rachel Tessman and wow I thought I do have everything to do that card with my left over parts as I had cut off my backings of the bird nest which were crumb cake, had very vanilla bases and one left printed die cut element that wasn't sure what I was going to do with that one thing! and her card was just perfect. Clean simple, I used the set of the kit to stamp with early espresso ink, linen thread also from the kit, did added the gold pearls from my stash

Paper pumpkin

After working on the challenge cards posted yesterday, I still felt like finishing the kit so continue working on some other cards so I made 3 other designs before I had to call it quits as I ran out of colored card stock to work on.

The first card once again cut the card base in half and only used the printed part which I mounted on petal pink then on very vanilla card base, added one of the foil die cut labels and printed die cut elements stamped my message from the kit with old olive ink

for my next card, once again cut the card in half and only used the printed part which I mounted on early espresso cardstock and then on a very vanilla card base. I stamped my message from the kit with early espresso ink and punched it out with story label punch added some early espresso ink with blending tool and some pearls from my stash

and last card again cut my card base from kit in half using only the printed part which I mounted on pool party cardstock then I folded my very vanilla card base into z fold mounted my piece and wrapped the velvet ribbon that came in the kit around and then glued one of the printed die-cut elements from the kit and some pearls from my stash

Challenge

I get my paper pumpkin from Rachel Tessman and every so often she sends a little gift/challenge supplies from the catalogs that coordinate with one of the paper pumpkins we are getting this time was with the May kit Hugs from Shelli.

This is what she sent me: not sure what color of the carc base cardstock it was but the two layers were whisper white and very vanilla cut with the new stitched nested labels dies in different sizes, 3 pieces of the DSP bird ballad, piece of very vanilla scalloped lace trim and 3 gingham gala adhesive-backed sequins

Since my paper pumpkin arrived at the same time as the challenge/gift decided to open it and see if I can use the kit to coordinate the supplies of if I was going to do something else but actually I was able to come up with something together and this is what I did.

For my first project, I cut one of the card bases in half used the printed part mounted it on early espresso cardstock and the mounted on a petal pink card base. Fuzzy cut the bird from my supplies and also added the lace trim

for my next project, I cut another card base in half using just the printed part, grabbed the whisper white layer from my supplies and stamped with pool party second generation with the dotted stamp in the kit all over the layer and then with the same ink stamped like 3 times the hello so it was very dark and then mounted so the 2 birds were the focal point and used the vellum die cuts from the kit as well as the linen thread from kit to embellish

and the last card I did for the challenge was using the very vanilla layer and the DSP with two birds. I die cut the layer with my rectangle stitched framelits so it was a continues pattern although the new dies are not stitching but piecing and now they are not framelits or thinlits either just dies. I aligned the birds so they would show perfectly on the opening then mounted them on early espresso cardstock and then on a very vanilla card base then I used two die cut labels from the kit, on me I stamped my greeting from the kit and mounted on foam to the other label and also attached the gingham gala adhesive-backed sequins

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's project I made Split Coast Stampers' magic envelope card. I have a lot of DSP so figure it was a good way to use them. Obviously these are for quick notes in the mail but still thought was a good idea.

This would be the front of the envelope card, used postage stamp punch by EK which is not really necessary, it was just to show where the postage stamp goes as well as the labels don't need to be there, they are just to show where you would put your return address and mailing label...because it's a decorative paper you do need to add a labels so the PO machine can read the address

this is how the back of the envelope card looks like

and this is the inside

closed up to the note card, I used soft lilac and midnight violet inks for my stamping

Rainy days card kit

Living in the Northwest is normal having bad weather but bad weather is not always rainy mostly is cold and overcast but we do get a lot of rain so when I saw this card kit at the Krazy Kreations booth I had to get it. The kit had everything to make 3 cards I believe but I had some other stickers and was able to make more with left over supplies that's why you see different boots and umbrellas. The kit has a glitter paper where we stick the peel off stickers and then we color with Copic markers and fuzzy cut to attach to card
