Another card from the awesomely artistic class in the mail. For this card I used tuxedo black, smoky slate and summer sky inks, I also sponged some summer sky ink. I colored in the flowers with Copic Markers, the circles were punched with 3/4" circle punch and behind the flowers I have a circle punched out about 2"...the flowers were stamped twice on the layer and then on scrap then the scrap was glued right on top giving it a little dimension

Shoebox Tuesday
Since I still have all the supplies out from the card zig zag card I made for the aunt's 90th birthday decided to use that for my shoebox but change the set so you wouldn't have to see the same card twice :0) I did use same layout and same colors but the card opens to the other side also different message but for them unless they wanted to use what I used they would have the option to take the card without message and add their own message when they needed to use the card. Again I will be using this for milestone birthday
So again the card is totally flat for mailing and A2
So again the card is totally flat for mailing and A2
but 3D, the message is from The Greeting Farm's set say BDAY stamped with tuxedo black
the birthday message is from PaperTrey Ink's set think big favorite also in tuxedo black ink
the flower set is also by CTMH this time is someone special also stamped with mint melody and Bermuda bay, the filler I used 3 little stamps from Hero Arts' stamp & cut set congrats with dandelion (stamped off), new sprout (stamped off) and Sahara sand inks. I would probably add the milestone year when I decide to whom I'm sending the card. This year I have a lot of milestone birthdays and some have come so fast so trying to get ahead of the ball which sometimes is not easy.

Birthday
Today is Bret's birthday and this is the card I made for him. I started using the same supplies as in his father's day card, I had borrowed the dies and wanted to take advantage of that before I gave it back. Didn't want to do the same thing but didn't matter if it was the same theme as like I said he's my handyman and he's always working with tools on his days off and at work sometimes :0)
I saw a card in one of the newsletters I get by LeeAnn G and liked the fold so decided to use it. I did changes as she did the base a 4.25" x 5.5" and I decided to make mine normal A2 - 8.5" x 5.5" score 4.25". I stamped my white panel with happy birthday from big greetings set by Avery Elle with tuxedo black then embossed with tools embossing folder by Crafts-Too You, when putting together the pieces I offset all the layers, for my toolbox I used a leftover piece from the tool boxes I did for our dinner party last Saturday which was stamped with hardwood background stamp by SU with ground espresso ink. Two of my tools were stamped in tuxedo black from SU's nail it set colored with Copic Markers and cut the handles and attached to the silver paper

Happy Birthday
Love black and white and making male cards with black and white is always easy :0) For this card I made it fit a business envelope, it's smaller so it was either making a custom made envelope or just stick it on a regular #9 or #10 business envelope so that's what I did :0)
I used route 66 stamp set by Local King with tuxedo black ink. I stamped several images one time as I wasn't sure what I wanted to do and then I just did this card, I remember I saw something a while back on Pinterest with parts of a bike or maybe a car so I use the bike :0) since I didn't remember the card and didn't want to go look it up I just did my own thing I cut my squares with Stamps of life stitched squares dies because I wanted a good size part of the bike showing my squares have to be big enough so then I cut another square the same size for the message, I used one of the stamps from SU's gorgeous grunge and London fog ink to add some color and texture the squares, and finally, added the message. The one in Spanish is by SU from the SAB set elegancia esencial and the one in English is by My Sentiments Exactly both stamped with tuxedo black

Shoebox Tuesday
For today's shoebox project again I used another set by The Stamps of Life, yes I'm trying to use all the sets I have gotten from them in the past so I don't feel I have wasted my money by being in their club :0) so far my hoped was to use the set within the month of getting it but it has not happened once until now of course as this card was using this month's set :0)
I left it without message so they can add whatever they need, I used my cards for anniversary cards as I seem to be in need of those. for the water scene I use color layering goldfish set by Hero Arts (algae & rocks) with bamboo leaves and olive grove ink and gray flannel ink, the sand dunes are by Posh Impressions with desert sand ink. The fish I stamped with tuxedo black then die cut them with their matching die you have two options to cut the fish one with a border and the other without I cut both and for this card I liked it better without but decided they would have their choice of how they wanted their fish and also I colored with Copic Markers and they were to bring their choice of coloring medium, bubbles are part of the set and was also colored with Copic Markers. I didn't want to worry about where the light and shadows went on the fish I always seem to have problem with that so I just colored as I wish guess I have been doing a lot of SU cards where it doesn't matter where the light or shadow goes LOL you just stamps and you're done

1st Father's Day
This year was Josh's first father's day so this is the card I made him. I bought the stamp "to daddy" from Penny Black especially for him as I figure it will get a lot of usage over the years just have to come up with different ideas and hopefully he doesn't get tired of getting the same image LOL
I stamped with tuxedo black and colored with Copic Markers. The message I did it on the computer punched it with Recollection circle punch and the scalloped circle is SU

Happy Father's Day
Today is Father's day in Mexico as well as here in the States. We celebrated Bret yesterday with the kids but didn't give him his card until today :0)
Bret is my handy man...he's my plummer, carpenter, electrician, mechanic, exterminator, gardener and pretty much anything I need on his free time or emergencies LOL so of course when I saw the card at The Crafty Spa I knew I had to make him one of those cards. I pretty much did like the tutorial but I changed the bottom piece and my "table" since I wasn't mailing I decided to give it more stability
I used by SU hardwood stamp and build it framelits, the messages are by Art Impressions and Memory Box and I also used my fancy deckle scissors by Fiskars
This is the front view...I used cork background paper / DSP for the area where my tools where hanging and since technically they look like flying on the board is a magnetic cork LOL

this is a view from a above
view of the table, his work table is always messy with tools and stuff so decided to put some screws and nuts along with the message so it would look a little more like his table :0)
his tools are actually either black or blue not wood but I already had some leftover paper so decided to use it up :0)
for the saw is where I use the deckle scissors as the die cuts it straight and a real saw blade is not straight it has "teeth" so thought this was more realistic. Amanda had a mixer as a drill but since I didn't have anything that could work for that had to skip that tool for now and that is one we use all the time so will have to see if I can find something like that for next time I make him a card
this sure was fun to make and since I love fancy fold card this is totally 3D

Dia del Padre
Tomorrow is Father's day in Mexico like it is here and this is the card I made my dad. I was having a hard time getting a card made for him as I had been working on digital scrapbooking so creative block but do like what I did for him and hope he did too
For the top piece, I used postage stamps embossing folder by The Paper Studio; the circles were die cut from stitched circles dies by The Stamps of Life, I did a little partial die cutting where the tires are. I added a little Copic Marker on the base of the tires to anchor them...the car is from 1900 cars set by Sparkle N Sprinkle stamped in tuxedo black
Since the kids wouldn't be able to come tomorrow or next Friday to celebrate Bret we were having them over today and for my place card I made a toolbox being that Bret is my handy man and Josh is also good with his hands. I used hardwood background stamp by SU with ground espresso ink and word window punch to do the tool box. For the tools I used SU's build it framelits and Fiskars fancy scissors and for the name, I use Memory Box man tools steel die
Bret's, of course, had to be different since we were celebrating his birthday as well as father's day. All messages were stamped with tuxedo black and the names I hand-wrote them. The happy is part of a message by Endless Creations; birthday is from a Papertrey ink set December birthdays; happy father's day is from My Sentiments exactly!
All toolboxes were the same in size and all included the chocolate

Bike Dia del Padre
I had to work on a card for a mingle (aka swap) with the theme vehicle or transportation and also on my brother's father's day card so decided to use the same card for both as I've been having a hard time coming up with ideas.
My brother has a motorcycle so this is the card I came up with. The background was done with timeless textures SU's set with London fog ink...used two of the stamps from the set, the bike is from Route 66 by Local King stamped with tuxedo black and added a little Copic marker to anchor the tires. For my brother's card I added the message from the set el mejor papa del mundo with tuxedo black and for my mingle I used the message that was on Route 66 set also with tuxedo black

Shoebox Thursday
For today's shoebox I went again for a clean and simple card. I saw a card on Pinterest by Dixie Cochran and I liked it and this is my spin
I used D'vine swirls by Cuttlebug and loopy rings by Memory Box. At first, I was going to do white on white with just the rings with color but it needed something so decided to add a layer of black and liked it better :0)

then, of course, I had to do another with a message as I have to add some kind message to my cards so I stamped the thank you with Morocco ink before embossing then finished the card but I didn't like that the ink and my rings didn't match so I restamped the thank you with tuxedo black and somehow it ended up having like a shadow due to the embossing and I liked it :0) anyway, my friends had the option of doing no message or with the thank you

Happy Anniversary
This was a quick anniversary card as pretty much the only stamping was the message inside and outside :0) It's a gate fold card. The heart paper was by Recollections from a couple years ago, the big heart is a Martha Stewart Crafts punch, the little heart is a May Arts ribbon I got at Impress. For the banner, I sponged a little worn lipstick ink which was the same ink I used to stamp the messages. Both messages are by the same SU set but one the English version and the other the Spanish version teeny tiny wishes

Shoebox Tuesday
For today's shoebox project decided to finally use one of the sets by The Stamps of Life I have been receiving from their club. I also bought the matching set just for fun
First I did this card, and decided that the right pot should be a little different so
I made this other card, which is pretty much the same thing but the top of the pot is different and I decided to use a different message. For them they didn't have a message that way they could use whatever message they needed when they need the card and since it's stamped in black ink they don't have to worry about matching colors :0)
I could have done the two pots completely different since there was two backgrounds but I didn't want to hassle I was already using two MISTI's one for the 4 stamps for pots and one for the 4 stamps for the cactus and I was happy with the second card. Also, I added a little texture with gorgeous grunge as it just needed something and of course added a line with my Copic Multi liner as the pots needed to be anchor otherwise they were flying :0)

90th birthday
Today is one of my adoptive aunt's birthday and this is the card I made for her. I saw Dawn G's card and video for this zig zag card and as you know I love fancy folds and this one was a great idea for a milestone birthday. I changed my dimensions from hers and I also decorated both sides plus I decided not to glue my zig zag panel to the top layer but to make the top layer another area to decorate :0) so the inside of the card was for my greeting and personal message, the whole outside was for my big milestone message and worked great.
The card is totally flat for mailing and it's A2 size
but is totally 3D
The celebrate is from The Greeting Farm's celebrate & enjoy set stamped with tuxedo black
The message on this side of the panel is from Poppy Stamps set ornamental butterflies also stamped with tuxedo black
and this is my main layer, the happy birthday is from Hero Arts' stamp & cut set Happy also stamped with tuxedo black, the 90th is from SU's number of years set stamped with Bermuda Bay
the flowers are from CTMH's beloved bouquet set stamped with mint melody and Bermuda Bay the filler is also from the same set stamped with dandelion (stamped off), new sprout (stamped off) and Sahara sand inks
