I just kept adding water until I didn't have much ink. When the pieces where complete dry I had to make a card with a horse decided this background was perfect for it. I did all cards the same and donated them to Live like Roo. I cut a vanilla in a little bit bigger than a note card size stamped cheesecloth background stamp by Rubbernecker Stamps with amalgam ink whisper then my monoprint panel was cut in two mounted on brown and then stamped the images with VersaFine Clair ink fallen leaves

Monoprinting
A while back I was playing with my monoprint plate by Grafix Impress Print
Media this one is a thin hard plastic instead of a gelli plate. I used it with my Ancient Page Archival Dye reinkers which are permanent inks the good thing about this plate is that you can use any cleaner to try an get the ink off with the gelli plate it would be stain and you wouldn't be able to remove, it doesn't change the effect of the plate but with my OCD sometimes it bother me LOL anyway the colors I used were sandalwood and sienna with water spritz and a brayer on 5x7 Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80Lb paper

Monoprinting card
Today is World Card Making Day. Every year the first Saturday in October has been dedicated to the card makers although most people in the industry don't really do much and us as stampers either. For those that do care is nice to have an excuse to make cards and hopefully to actually send cards send those cards too
This was a card I made with one of my monoprinting pieces I played around but somehow I got to excited that grab the piece to make a card and didn't realized I hadn't taken a photo of the finished piece with my Gelli plate so you only get to see the finish card.
I used the Gelli plate with distress ink shabby shutter and water on Neenah 80lb. My piece was 5" x 7" I used medium dotted die by The Stamps of Life which is about 4" x 5-1/4" with what was left I cut my message which was drop out hello also by The Stamps of Life. I added some of the circles that came out just off a circle and added some Nuvo drops and enamel accents

Monoprint card
This was the last card I was able to mail to my foster aunt but unfortunately she was not able to see it as she died the same day I mailed it but her family got to have it. I used this print, the instruction for the print are here
and made this card, I die cut the top layer with double stitched rectangle die by Kat Scrappiness, the butterfly was a digital image that I have no idea where I got as I printed and color maybe 5-6 years ago and put on my unfinished projects box until recently that figure it was time to use on something and decided this was it. It was colored with Copic Marker and cover with glitter, the antennas are something I got at Impress even longer than when I color the images!!, the message is from watercolor roses set by Strawberry Jude Stamps with VersaFine Clair nocturne

More Monoprinting playing
I decided to play more with my plates this time I used the Monoprint Plate by Grafix as I wasn't sure how this ink were going to do. I used Posh Rainbow Ink Luminous
Metallics by Ranger Industries Metallic violet & Metallic pink along with Broadway
Brights Dye ink Black. I had them for many years and back them we used them with compressed sponges, anyway figure I could try see how they did with the plate. They did stain a bit the plate as they are sort of permanent ink on plastic. They have a shimmer look to it. I used Neenah
exact index 90Lb paper
Because I didn't read the labels didn't pay attention on the colors until I added the drops and water so on the first two I used brayer to spread the inks

from here on I added water more of the other colors and more water. On each paper added more water and maybe one or drop or nothing
brayer on this one also
Will share some cards at a later time

Monoprinting Homework 4 card
For the second panel on the watercolor homework, I wanted to show the panel I liked the color so had to do something it will leave most of it open.
so looking around my dies I remember a Christmas die I had not used as of yet, one of those that you buy with the intention of using but time just run out anyway it was perfect I cover part of my panel with white glitz glitter gel by Gina K Design & Them-O-Web, after it was dry I applied my frame with foam and it's nativity scene sidekick frame & stencil by Poppy Stamps. I cut off all the Christmas stuff off so I would just had the frame and then stamped my message from floral encouragement card set by MSE! with VersaFine Clair nocturne

Monoprinting Homework 4 Card
For the first panel I made on the watercolor print it looked sort of Christmas
so this is the card I made with it. I used Kat Scrappiness double stitched rectangle dies to cut my layers, then die cut my message from two dies, one is a mother's day as it was the biggest die I could find that had Feliz and then the other had the Navidad. I used black pearls for the dots on the "i"

Monoprinting Class Homework 4
I got to finally play with my homework for last month's class, this was using watercolors. The ones used by Sara Naumann were from Altenew that come like in pans that you can get out of your palette. I only have my Altenew brushes and some pearl-ex.
For both I decided to try my new plates that were Monoprint Plate by Grafix they are not gelli they just a clear plastic, they work fine but different
The first one was applying the watercolor straight on the Gelli plate, I used Altenew watercolor brushes sweet leaf & crimson, I used regular Neenah 80lb. cardstock

For this one was using dish soap and then the watercolor, again I used Altenew watercolor brushed purple wine and didn't remember if I was supposed to spritz with water or not so I did. I used watercolor paper for this one

Monoprinting Class Homework 1
Last month I took an online class at Altenew Academy, Monoprinting Made Easy with Sara Naumann. It was a 6 day class. After each class we have "homework" which is to play with we learn I didn't have a Gelli Plate so borrowed one and did the first homework the others haven't done as they stain the Gelli Plate so didn't want to stain my friend's Gelli Plate and even though it was a messy thing I did enjoyed even though I had to use disposable gloves but something don't mind doing not sure if I would deal with a staining plate so waiting for my Gelli press to arrive and see LOL in the mean time this is what I did with my first day. Cards to come later
For all of them I used Altenew Crisp dye inks and I used regular cardstock not typing paper. For the first one I used midnight violet, deep iris & lavender fields the first thing I grab was the cat's water spritzer so not the best results as you have no control on the size of water mist but not bad either

For this one I used deep iris, eastern sky, parrot, orange cream, heart beat & fresh lemon for this I used a mini spritzer that has some sort of shimmer inside not plain water so it gave a shimmer to the paper along with the water I had to add
For this one I over water the Gelli Plate which was supposed be used as ink pad, it still worked as one but my negative images didn't show as much and I used the wrong set as technically I was supposed to use a set that had layer images an outline and background did get the background but didn't have an outline but used the image that was the fullest. I used the same colors as the first one midnight violet, deep iris & lavender fields. I used midnight violet for the top image. The leaves were from build-a-flower rose set also by Altenew
On this piece is where the leaves were stamped off because there was not enough images to fill the piece I used lavender fields ink to stamped the 3rd image and midnight violet to stamp the top image
