I joined the Pinkfresh Studio Create & Connect online event in May. It was a two day event with 3 classes on Saturday and 2 classes on Sunday plus a demo. Each class included 2 cards except for the watercolor class that was just the technique. Also, there was a make & take on each class.
I decided to watch the classes and then work on my cards so at the end I did my own thing but trying to follow the class idea. In some I did change a bit others a lot but guess that's where our creativity comes in place. I didn't follow their colors because well I didn't use their inks so I did what I was feeling at the moment. For 4 classes I used Altenew crisp dye inks and the one that was supposed to be watercolor since I don't do watercolor I used distress oxide inks
The first class was with Lea Lawson and it was with the whimsical blooms bundle. This bundle includes slimline stamp set, dies, layered stencils and washi tape.
For the second card started by die cutting essentials ornate circle 3 times and gluing them together for dimension and then cut them in half added some Altenew crisp dye ink shades of purple collection lavender fields to the edge just a light touch.
I didn’t care for the small frame on the card so I used the slim
stencils double chevron with Altenew crisp dye ink shades of purple
collection lavender fields on the A2 card base of Accent Opaque Digital
International Paper 120 lb. Cover Smooth white cardstock just to give a little
something.
On a layer of Accent Opaque Digital International Paper 80 lb. Cover Smooth white card stock, I stamped my image with Memento London fog ink then used the layered stencils and we were supposed to stamp with black ink after wards. I wanted no line look but this image is one of those that if you don't stamp the image you lose part of the image so after I was done with my coloring I just stamp with green the greenery. All inks for the layered stencils are with Altenew crisp dye inks leaves: green meadows collection sweet leaf, just green, hunter green; flower 1: cherry blossom collection pink diamond, pinkalicious; flower 2: shades of purple collection lavender fields, deep iris, (midnight violet) flower 3: pocketful of sunshine collection fresh lemon, maple yellow. Then die cut it with coordinating die.
Then I arranged the flowers with the ornate circle and added iridescent clear drops. Decided not to add message so I can either add message when I need it or just use it as a note card
