Shoebox Tuesday
For this week's shoebox project I wanted to use this new SU set and matching punch. I decided to once again use different embossing folders and let them pick their design. Also they got to pick the message, and color for the flowers. When I thought of making this card Mother's day came to mind BUT I had already either mailed or about to mail the cards I made so I used other messages but they were welcome to use mother's day message :0)
These were my samples
Message unknown, ribbon by SU and the pearls are from Eyelets Outlet & Brads, embossing folder Cuttlebug
Message by Savvy Stamps, ribbon by SU and the rhinestones from Queen & Co., texture impression embossing folder Sizzix

This set works as two-step stamping which works great to avoid coloring the flowers :0) there are two stamps that works for the bottom part - light color and 2 stamps that work for the top - dark color. I used the stamp positioner to perfectly align the stamps but unfortunately I used the index of the words to stamp and they were wrongly aligned so those are not straight LOL I know I have two options 1) unmount and align correctly or 2) ALWAYS use stamp positioner guess will know next time I use either of these stamps :0)

Class in the mail
I got another of Frenchie's class in the mail. This time it was painted petals. All supplies are SU
On this I added the butterfly
On this I added the butterfly
This card instead of using the sequins I used gold rhinestones. I just love this message. We are born to a family good or bad :0) we inherit a family when we get married most of the time not so good :0) but you do get to chose your friends :0)
This one was a very clean and simple card but was too simple to me so I mounted the card on to a piece of cardstock same color as the flowers. I was going to use both colors but since it's just my sample I figure next time I could add the two colors :0)
For this one I did the same ghost technique on the lost lagoon piece as well as the crumb cake

Class in the mail
This is another of Frenchie's class in the mail. Indescribable gift stamp set by SU. All were colored with Copic Markers and most supplies are SU
This card I used a Sizzix embossing folder. I colored the main flowers and then glued vellum on top
For this one it was just color with the sponge but I decided to color first and then rub the ink, I think the flowers pop more :0)

For this one I was supposed to color the ribbon with alcohol markers but to me it has always felt that it becomes rough

This was the faux silk technique...you color your image then glue wrinkle tissue paper
For this one I colored on the vellum which I didn't care for. When I remake this technique I will just color the cardstock and glue the vellum on top...like on the first card except for the white embossing :0)

Paper Pumpkin February 2015
My SU demonstrator for many many years decided to stop being a demonstrator so to thank her for all the years I made her this card using the February Paper Pumpkin the front and back as well as the inside were done with the flower shop stamp set the ribbon goes around to close the accordion.
I will miss her as demonstrator as she was on top of things from start to finish :0) always keeping me posted on the status of my order and making sure I was satisfied with what I got. Thank you again!

40th Anniversary
On of my girlfriends and her hubby celebrated their 40th anniversary early this month and her daughter was nice enough to give her a party so this is the card I made them. After I made this I found out that embossing powders do get old LOL it was supposed to be white but since I don't do embossing it has yellowed it help so you can see as sometimes white on white is hard to see :0) the embossing folder was from the Starter set by Cuttlebug. The flowers were punched from the Itty Bitty accents punch pack by SU the butterfly is also a SU punch the 40 is part of a stamp by Creative Vision and the Happy Anniversary is part of a SU set

Class in the mail
These cards were part of the Moon Lake class in the mail that Frenchie offers. When I saw this set it was the perfect set for male cards. I did a few changes but mostly it was like she said.
Most supplies are SU but were it needed coloring was done with Copic Markers
This first card added the pearls on top of the message

This one I mounted the single layer card to have a layer same color just because I didn't want the twine showing, probably add some texture if/when I remake this card

Faux book
One of the Sunday Tip or Technique was faux book. The tutorial given to us was using the "book" to hold a pin but I wanted to make a thinner "book" more mail friendly, but still was too thick so you do have to find a better way to mail which means more postage anyway this was my take to the technique.
The "sheets" were originally like 10" long but since that made an 1" thick book I made mine half the size which ended up being 5" long which made it 0.5" thick...I scored every half inch. I will probably redo it with less "pages"to hopefully have the same book look but easier to mail without extra postage...hopefully
The flower stamps is the flower shop SU stamp set, I used the same set to frame Tilda which was colored with Copic markers. On the back I left enough room to add my personal handmade stamp

Love bird
I saw a card on Pinterest similar to this but since I had some heart doilies that are too big for most cards it worked out pretty good.
The heart and bird are SU punches
