Snoopy bookmarks

A friend asked me to make her some bookmarks for her charity thing. They give out books and wanted to give a bookmark with the books. I don't do bookmarks just like ATC is not my thing. I think it's the little area to work with but after years of asking finally agreed last fall that as soon as I would finish the project I had I would work on them but after I did I got sick and then I just couldn't get any ideas. Anyway I got the bookmarks at Michaels stamped them and then mounted them in different color card stock mainly to used up my "scraps" also so they would have some color and more thickness although the cardstock was pretty good.

For all of them I stamped using the corner border stamp by PSX and the book stamp is by The Stamping Ground both were stamped with VersaFine Clair nocturne then I stamped my Snoopy stamps

For this one was a very old stamp dance of joy by Rubber Stamped with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink and London fog marker for the ground

For this one, I used Snoopy looking up by Stampabilities also with VersaFine Clair ink and bamboo leaves marker for the grass

For this one, I used Hooray Snoopy by Stampabilities also with VersaFine Clair ink and toffee crunch marker for the ground

For this one, I used Snoopy walking by Stampabilities also with VersaFine Clair ink and bamboo leaves marker for the grass

For this one, I used jumping Snoopy by Stampabilities also with VersaFine Clair ink and London Fog marker for the corner

Especially for you

I had colored this image long time ago but never did anything with it, one of those thoughts that will finish later but got into my unfinished box and got forgotten. Well when I was trying to finish cards for my donation box went into my box to see what I had to see if there was anything good in there and at the same time toss whatever I just wasn't going to do use and this is what I did with this images. The image was stamped with tuxedo black ink and colored with Copic markers, the background was done with stencil and the airbrush system. The message is by Simon Says Stamp

Sunday Tip or Tecnique

I made this card of one of my Sunday's TT. The challenge was to use the thumping technique the tutorial was from Gina K Designs. I had done this technique in the past it was NOT like the tutorial but I did it my way after all it was the same technique :0)

The oak tree is a stamp by Rubber Stampede I used vintage photo and espresso truffle for the trunk colored in with Copic markers, for the bush used forest moss and 7 green memento dual markers and dandelion, for the ground again used Copic markers. Die cut my ovals with Lifestyle Crafts dies, the message is part of the brushed stamp set by Avery Elle stamped with vintage photo

Birthday penguin

Today was the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo in Puyallup, WA. This expo or convention has always been pretty small since it started; this year was in a different building but the same amount of vendors. Among the vendors were Elizabeth Crafts, Scrap-Mart/Justrite Papercraft, Krazy Kreations, Craft Fancy (new vendor for us), Its cheaper than therapy, Art Impressions, Tessler, Queen & Co., Eyelet Outlet & Brads, Scrap That!, Craft Fantastic, Shoe string (new to us), Tall Mouse-Cre8tive Artz, Paper Wizard, Simply Stitched, Epiphany Crafts, Hot off the Press, Kiwi Lane, Sa Crafters (new to us), Pinecone Press, Scrapping 4 Less, Cutter Pillar (new to us) & Best Craft Organizer.

A lot of these booths are pretty much 100% scrapbook so we didn't spend more than 2 seconds in the booths :0) Some were just embellishments and mostly things we/I don't use so again maybe a quick run through their booth and on to the next one. Regardless of how small the show was and that there was too much scrapbooking I ended up with enough things that I didn't need but wanted, of course, LOL yes I am one of those that know the difference between want and need so all I bought was a totally want.

I also got to meet two ladies one belongs to one of my Yahoo groups and the other her friend the reason she was there :0) both nice ladies. At the beginning, we ran into each other a few times and then never saw them again so either we were going the wrong side or they left early...well we left by 2 and to me that was early :0) but after going around a couple times around we had seen everything :0) and had bought almost all we wanted, yes I forgot something so it was almost :0) we didn't run into a lot of people as usual so not a lot of visiting :0(

And now, for the reason you are here, the sharing of a card.

This is another card for the gift set and donation box. The background is a Cuttlebug folder, penguin is Memory Box colored with Copic Markers, the confetti is a Rubber Stampede/Posh Impressions stamp colored with baby wipe technique

Retirement

A dear friend retired on Friday after 30+ years in the same company. I made her this card. It's an easel gate fold...again. If I loved easel cards this has become more of a favorite :0)

This is how she got it out of the envelope

With out the band

Fully open the way it goes

The clock doesn't have hands because in theory when you retire you do what you want when you want without having to keep an eye on time :0) this was done with a Heartfelt Creations stamp colored with Copic marker and SU punch, the sort of fence is a punch by Martha Stewart

and one of our favorite stamp companies is Magnolia, actually she got me hook on them. I like them but because of her I started my collection :0) Tilda is colored with Copic Markers, The bench is a die by Joy! Crafts, the tree is Rubber Stampede and I colored it with Copic Markers and filled it with flower soft. The grass is glitter by Sprinkle N Sparkle, first I use the tinsel type glitter and then the fine glitter to cover any spaces that the other didn't cover. The stopper for the easel is Elizabeth Crafts die

And also I included a gift card in this little holder. Decided to follow the same design as the card :0) as you can tell she likes pink :0) the ice cream are SU punches and a Cuttlebug embossing folder

Flower soft tree

I had to do a card with a tree so first I had picked a SU set but then I decided I wanted to use 3 supplies one was a tree stamp by Rubber Stampede that I hadn't uses in many years, second an embossing folder from Cuttlebug and last was Flower Soft.

There was a time when a lot of people were using Flower Soft but now seems like I haven't seen things with it but I still love the effect and when I was redoing my craft room realize how many bottles I had :0) anyway that's why I decided on these supplies and from that I picked the rest and this is what I came up with. The trunk/branches & background was done with Copic Markers

Not sure if the photo shows the texture well enough but obviously it's 3D. The flower soft I used was Christmas green. Being summer the tree is nice and green although I don't know if oak trees get ugly during fall. The ribbon is SU stretched trim
