For today's shoebox project I decided to make a project with no stamping :0) I was going to add a message but then decided without a message they can use it for whatever they wanted...anniversary or Valentine's
The papers were by Recollections, they all came in the same pack. The big hearts are two dies by Memory Box, the small red hearts are from a ribbon I got at Impress which probably is by May Arts, it comes in 4 colors, red, pink, silver and gold...not in the same roll :0) and they're self-adhesive!
I think this is my new favorite fold :0) uses the same normal card base 8-1/2 x 5-1/2

Shoebox Tuesday
For today's shoebox project I had a card that was inspired by Susie. It's using one of the Sale-A-Bration freebie sets, she used two of them but since I'm not a demonstrator and I don't get rid off my stamps so I used a border stamp set of a lace that SU had back in 1994!
The set I used was Avant-garden stamped with London fog and old olive for the flower, tuxedo black for message. For the lace, I used moonlight white brilliance. Susie used the shadow technique but I don't like that technique to me it's a made up technique someone invented to cover a boo boo, some might like it but to me, it looks like a boo boo :0)

SU Occasions kick-off
Today I attended a workshop with two of the local demonstrators. Lucy & Dar had 4 projects for us to make pretty much only using from the new occasions catalog that went live about 10 days ago. They love getting their inspiration from Pinterest so if you see a card that you've seen there that's where they got inspired. Some of the layouts have changed the season or colors as we all like our colors and we like a layout and the original inspiration was from another season and that is what we like right?! get inspired and do our own thing sometimes we are lucky and have the same supplies and colors and why not CASE the card we like :0)
Obviously except for inks and paper that are from the regular catalog, and probably some embellishments everything else is from the occasions catalog.
For this card I changed the message :0) and also her strips were closer to each other and to the right side and I think I just centered mine

This one I also changed the message, although normally I am the one sending the card of cheer just seemed appropriate :0)

Blue anniversary
When I was cutting the thank you cards a couple days ago I was cutting both dies figure I would use the other piece for something but it would be one run on the machine for one cut :0) so sure enough I made half the amount since I used two pieces for one card but this is what I did
so I used detailed floral thinlits from SU, happy anniversary set by Cleary Besotted stamped with chipped sapphire ink and the pearls used to be a bow I got at Dollar Tree, I cut off part of it off and colored it with Copic Markers

Shoebox Tuesday
For today's shoebox project I had a simple card that probably I had done the layout before but this is what I had in mind and I wanted to use this new stamp I got at one of the shows last year.

Colorful Thanks
This panel colorful thank you cards were fun to make and you get to make 4 cards at once. The idea was from Jennifer McGuire. I used jumbo thanks by Stampendous with mowed lawn, mermaid lagoon, tea dye & fossilized amber; a bunch is part of thanks a bunch stamp by Worth Repeating
stamping with tuxedo black; epoxy dots from stash some of them colored with Copic Markers
To make the card you cut the front panel in 4 then to mix and match each so you have one of each color and then you put together. The first part is with foam the second is flat the next with foam and then flat. I did my stamping with the MISTI which makes it easy to align all pieces

On the twelveth day of Christmas
Feliz Dia de Reyes or Happy Epiphany. This is the card I gave my family this year and the idea was from Pinterest. The three kings are part of the Ven a Belen stamp set by SU stamped in rich cocoa. Used eyelet lace embossing border punch by Fiskars, pearls by Recollections
Today is the last day of Christmas and I celebrated with my sister and brother-in-law. Amazing how things have changed over the years when I first came to the US over 21 years ago I couldn't find Rosca de Reyes, if I wanted to have one I had to make it myself, my family sent me the recipe even the little baby Jesus toys to put in it now we can find it in a couple of the Hispanic stores, they don't taste like ours but they're not bad :0) even some grocery stores sell them, they don't look that great but can't complain at least they're making the effort right?!
This was the rosca my sister got and as you can see while I was taking the picture I could see one of the little Jesus so it was mine to keep without even cutting!
Well, when I cut my piece it had two baby Jesus in the same piece!! and when I cut my other piece I also got another!! I was the one that got the most so for some I was unlucky for others I was triple blessed either way it's always fun doing the traditions and I get to host our dinner on Dia de la Candelaria :0)

On the tenth day of Christmas
For this card I decided to use Terri Pocock's idea. I stamped my trees with SU's wonderland stamp set and northern pine ink then punched a circle out of post-it and sponged my background with tumbled glass, faded jeans and pine needles. Removed my post-it note and stamped my Santa by Stampa Rosa with hickory smoke ink then cover the whole thing with adhesive and glitter mounted my frame with foam. The frame was cut with piercing die by My Favorite Things

On the seventh day of Christmas, Happy New Year
Feliz Año Nuevo! Do you have any traditions for the new year? We do, but we haven't celebrated them in a while, Bret is not one to stay up since normally he gets up too early. I'm a night person while he is an early bird :0) and as everyone else doing new year's resolutions is a waste of time as we never accomplish any of them although, a couple years ago I told myself I was going to be using stamps and dies that I bought years ago that never used before and I actually did and continue doing so for the first time I guess I follow something I wanted to do for the new year, very proud of myself if I say so myself LOL
This is the card I made for Bret to received the new year 2017, I used Rachel Tessman's idea. The words are by Elizabeth Craft Designs one is Cheers and the other Happy New Year, the wine glass was done with the oval collections Framelits by SU using acetate and glitter paper, the rhinestones are by DCWV
