Gold graduations
For this graduation card, I used the celebrate today set by SU, vellum paper I got at JoAnn Fabrics, the graduation cap is My Creative Time. I added a frame to the front to cover where the adhesive on vellum was also to hold the twine of the balloon

Graduation caps
I had this nice paper that wanted to use so decided to use it as the main card front and while looking in one of my boxes I found some stickers so added that to the card, the message is by My Creative Time

Shoebox Thursday by Candee
For today's shoebox project Candee had a card using the baby wipe technique that she had just learned. I don't use as much ink as she does when I have done this technique but everyone does things different than me or like Bret says I do things different than most people :0)

Shoebox Tuesday
For today's shoebox, I had been wanting to do a lattice card so having a bunch of scraps was the perfect excuse. The card that I saw was from SplitCoastStampers by Carol. The two embossing folders are Cuttlebug, the opening is a Spellbinders die, punches are big daisy by Emagination, small daisy by Punch Bunch, birch leaf by Marvy Uchida, fern by Martha Stewart, the rhinestones were from my stash and I colored them with Copic Markers. Also, used a corner rounder punch by EK

Futbol
I don't know about all of you that got this freebie set by SU even though I like it, it has been a pain to use. Because I have the MISTI I am able to get a better image by stamping at least 5 times which is too much work just to get one full all over coverage. To me, it's a defect on the stamp :0(
Anyway made this simple manly card. I stamped the words straight on the background paper

and on this one, I tried again the vellum but used black pigment ink and clear embossing powder so I didn't have to worry about flakes everywhere

Shoebox Thursday
Today was my turn to provide the shoebox project so this is what I made. The idea came from Kay K
On her card, she used woodgrain folder and I decided to use the stamp instead. Mainly because my ribbon is quite bulky to add more dimension and also because I was lazy to get up from my chair to get the folder :0) The way I did my card will need extra postage to mail :0( I got my ribbon at Michaels, the thread or twine is SU, pieces I had from past paper pumpkin kits and in my stash. The message is by Endless Creations stamped on the decorative label punch-out by SU. I stamped the background from You've got this set with desert sand so you could see it but didn't overpower the fox from The wilderness awaits set. The front panel was mounted on foam tape with my hopes that it would level the whole panel but the ribbon was still uneven on the front...it is what it is :0)

Part embossing
In one of my Yahoo Groups we had a mingle with the theme favorite flowers, everyone likes flowers even if just in paper. I have a black thumb so I don't take care of flowers mostly I kill them :0) but love to use flower stamps as I can color them any color I like, not knowing much about flowers I can use my ignorance to color as I want or need.
For this card, I use an embossing folder by Sizzix and my diffuser by Tim Holtz to frame my flower. I don't know who makes the flower as it was one of those unmounted stamps that never thought of marking :0) I colored it with Copic Markers. My favorite color is purple and when we went to Oregon we saw my new favorite flower...purple rose, I didn't even know they existed but there is a garden near Coos Bay with flowers of every kind and color. The pearl bow is from Dollar Tree and the other pearls from my stash; also added some Wink of Stella

Shakers and movers
On Saturday, I attended another SU workshop with a different demonstrator. This time, we were working on shaker cards and cards with some sort of movement.
The first card we did was a never ending card, must supplies are from the new catalog coming live on June 1st. I added my ribbon as a gift as I figure if we were covering one opening might as well do both. I didn't finish decorating all panels as I wasn't sure what I wanted :0)

I had to work on another birthday card and since I was too lazy to put away the set What I love by SU I used it again :0) it was almost the same layout as yesterday's card but different colors and added a message instead of ribbon. The message is by Heartfelt Creation

2016 SU retirement event
On Wednesday, I attended a SU workshop with local demonstrators using retired or retiring products.
These are the cards we made. This first card is using the fluttering texture embossing folder and one of the flourishes stamp on top...I was supposed to use an even lighter touch than I use and probably second generation ink but was good for me. I colored with Copic Markers

This was a fun fold as it wasn't the normal A2. I changed by adding the lace ribbon in between the crumb cake and green instead of around the back of the flap. Also, the scallop circles and cupcake were mounted half on the flap and there were some candles but I didn't want to hassle with candles so I just added the scallop circles completely on the flap :0)
On this card, I put the hexagon the way I wanted and raised what I wanted :0)
On this last card, I used the flower side of DSP, didn't really like the other side of the paper. I know it was meant to be a manly birthday card but guess it doesn't really matter :0)

Makeover card
There was a time I was sending a lot of store bought cards because I couldn't make all the cards I needed now I decided that is best to be late and make my cards :0) so I remade this store bought card from Michaels. The package had like 8 cards. I cut on 4 of them the strip where the butterfly was mounted on an embossed piece of cardstock by Crafts Concept, then fuzzy cut the butterfly on the other 4 cards mounted on top of the flat butterfly so it has some dimension so a simple store bought card became a little more :0)

Happy Mother's Day
When I married Bret I got to celebrate Mother's day two days, one the US which is the second Sunday in May and my mother's day which is always on May 10th. Been a wicked step-mom gain the benefit of doing nothing on both days :0) most of the time Bret takes me out to eat or cooks for me.
This is the card I made for some friends. The just for you is by SU, on mother's day was computer generated, the background is by Rubbernecker

Triore circle
This technique was fun to try. We all have scraps of paper and actually using them in a fun way is better than tossing them in recycle or hugging them for when or if we find a way to use :0)

Tulips
Right now is tulip time in WA, one year when one of my sisters was visiting we took her to Monroe to see the tulips, never imagine the different colors they had it was awesome. Since I don't know much about flowers I always color them in whatever color I need or want and turns out pretty much there are every color of flowers so works out great :0)

Spring
I love this stamp by Memory Box because you can make it any season. For this, I made it spring using flower soft. The stamp itself is just the branches.

Last skirt pleaded card
For this last card, I did pretty much the tutorial Splitcoaststampers sent a while back. I did a little change on the dimensions as I didn't like that it wasn't even :0) I know most curtains or skirts don't have even pleads but this is a card so I like more even. The flower is from the same sheet of stickers by K & Company.
Once again my paper was 3x12, the first score was 3" then the small section was 1/2" and the others 1". After I scored and fold I glued my piece to cardstock and cut excess paper finishing with the ribbon
