Memorial Day

Hoping you are having a great Memorial Day and don't forget that today we honor those men & women that died while serving for our country.

This card was done as part of the Vintage Hues Memorial Day Acetates kit by Stamp On It!, I used double stitched rectangle dies by Kat Scrappiness to cut my layers/frames

 

Baby

For this card used SU products unless otherwise posted, all stamping is with Tim Holtz distress tumbled glass ink. Die cut with baby’s first Framelits on a blue Core’dinations 65 lb. cardstock then stamped the shoes with something for baby stamp set, then stamped message from cuddles & kisses stamp set then added the scallop dots ribbon marina mist then finished making the shaker card with micro beads from my stash and mounting to another layer of blue and inlay the shoes then mounted to an A2 white card base

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to those that are mothers specially step mothers & foster mothers that have the hardest job to be there for the kids and not always loved or appreciated.

I don't make many Mother’s Day cards just for people in my inner circle and daughters-in-law. One of my favorite flowers is tulips because they come in all colors and in my state there is a place up north where if you go on the right time you can see them right when they are blooming so pretty. Anyway when Spellbinders came out with their hot foil plate & matching layered stencil was a must have set for me to get since I hate heat embossing, the wonderful tulips. I decided to use Altenew hot foil rose gold because it was one of my new foils that hadn't tried and made them in different colors using Tim Holtz distress oxide inks. For all cards the white cardstock is Accent Opaque Digital International Paper 80 lb. cover smooth except for the card base that is Recollections 110 lb. and used for the leaves mowed lawn,  rustic wilderness; to cover the white areas used faded jeans; since I didn’t have hot foil message that said Happy Mother’s Day used the message from the set with its die, cut an extra layer for dimension. Used the die to cut the flowers and decided to mount to a layer of clouds paper which die cut with Cindy Echtinaw Designs Card Creator Perfect Layers A and mounted to an A2 card base.

for these pink flowers used spun sugar, kitsch flamingo, picked raspberry

for the blue flowers used tumbled glass, salty ocean, blueprint sketch

for the red flowers used abandoned coral, lumberjack plaid, aged mahogany

for the yellow flowers used scattered straw, wild honey, fossilized amber but didn't see much difference with the those colors so added mustard seed on top of wild honey

for the teal flowers used salvaged patina, peacock feathers, uncharted mariner

and finally for one of my favorite colors, purple flowers used milled lavender, wilted violet, villainous potion

New baby

For this card used baby’s first Framelits by SU, die cut on a Core’dinations 65 lb. blue cardstock then stamped best wishes to you and your new arrival stamp by Stampa Rosa with Tim Holtz distress tumbled glass ink, then set the layer down stamped It’s a boy stamp by Fun Stamps & Stampendous  with same ink then remove paper and attached the acetate and made my shaker with micro beads from stash before attaching to another piece of blue added the washi tape from stash and then to an A2 white card base

Floral Phrases

Long time ago Stamping with Linda a Stampin Up demonstrator had a stamp of the Month Kit, this one was Floral Phrases bundle  which included the bundle, papers and instructions to make 5 cards. Because of OCD I only made 4 cards. With this kits you only had to add ink & adhesive and for these we only needed one ink classic stampin’ spot night of navy. 

For this card, ovals collection Framelits die, used the stamp set, Wink of Stella glitter brush, a sponge to applied ink around the edge of the oval and the message from my stash Just for you that was not SU.

Expression in color Paper Pumpkin

This is one of my alternate cards to Paper Pumpkin June 2021 Expression in color.

 All white cardstock is Accent Opaque Digital International Paper 100 lb. Cover Smooth white cardstock. Because the cards bases that come in the kit are flimsy I always cut in half. For this the printed part that looked like alcohol used as layer on top of my card base and the back which was fresh freesia matching color to the panel became the piece that die cut with Leaf frame cover die by Altenew then die cut 3 of white cardstock glue them all together and mounted to the card. For the message used glimmer hot foil plate sentiments II by Spellbinders with scrap of gold foil and die cut with featured sentiments die set by Altenew

Feliz Día de las Madres

Today is México's Mother's Day, it always falls on May 10. Unfortunately it's my second year I don't have my mom with us so didn't have to make her a card. In her memory will share this card.

For this card, I started with a layer of Accent Opaque Digital International Paper 80 lb. cover smooth white cardstock which I placed inside the 6x6 fairy tale florals botanical 3D embossing folder by Altenew then used Tim Holtz distress inks and the detailed simple coloring layered stencils peeled paint, rustic wilderness, milled lavender dusty concord, villainous potion, kitsch flamingo, Victorian velvet, mustard seed, fossilized amber & black soot. The stencils didn’t cover everything so used Copic marker to outline stems and to do dots in the flowers. For the message used matching stamp set with VersaFine Clair nocturne then mounted to an A2 card base of Recollections 110 lb. white cardstock
