Shoebox Thursday
For today's shoebox project Linda had a Valentine's card. The "with love" is part of a paper pumpkin set, the flourish is part of a Inkadinkado stamp set; we added a bit of color on the petals/leaves. Darlene added glitter and when I got home I added a bit of Red Wink of Stella...which you cannot see on photo. Pearls were from her stash and last but not least punch as well as folder are SU
Grandma fell down last Monday night and we stopped to see her today so I made her a little gift. The image is from a CTMH stamp set colored with Copic Markers, I wrote all wording as didn't have a stamp that wasn't get well :0) the banner is leftover from a paper pumpkin. Made a little slit to tuck-in the folded banner

Sweet Tilda
Yesterday was one of my dear friends' birthday so this is the card I made for her. The background is a Tim Holtz folder, I used selective embossing so the back where Tilda is there is no embossing; the window is a Memory Box die set and I colored Tilda with Copic Markers

Shoebox Tuesday
This die is by Memory Box just loved it when it first came out so had to have and surprisingly I did make a card almost right away :0) Back then I didn't get the frame but since I got along with another matching die :0)
I decided to make a quick...to me...Valentine's card for my shoebox project. Memory Box has a bunch or dies that work with each other in part is good as you can buy individually the ones you like but at the same time it would be nice if they came together...the frame and then design which probably mean you'll end up having too many hearts frames :0)
So first I cut my heart frame and stamped the arrow which is a stamp by Impress. Then cut the butterfly heart; I glued this piece to the frame and the heart that came out of the frame I glued on my base card right behind the butterflies. I colored the center butterfly with Copic Markers and stamped the message which don't know who makes it but I believe Impress at least I bought it there :0)

I think the popping of the butterflies is what took the longest :0)

2-legged animal
One of the mingles I worked on was 2-legged animal. My first thought was doing a card with a person as I figure no one would do that but then I decided to use a window card using one of my new dies by Spellbinders.
Used circle punches for the opening and border, the embossing folder is Tim Holtz and the message A Muse punch out of word window punch by SU and mounted on modern label punch. I glue the birds on both sides of the acetate to cover the adhesive

Stampin' Up birthday Bash
Yesterday I attended a birthday bash kick-off of the new occasions SU catalog with two of the local demonstrators.
The first card was using one of the freebies from Sale-A-Bration. Since I saw these paper to me it was faux shaving cream designer paper. I love this die so intricate but not worth the money :0)

For this second card it had sequins but I don't like them so I didn't add them
looking at it I thought it did needed a little something so added some pearls
for this third card we cut off the pop-up part to make it a flat card and colored it with daubers
for this forth and last card we used the new sunburst die and matching die for the rays

Shoebox Tuesday
For today's project I made a super easy male card using one of the new SU's sale-a-brations set. The ducks is a single stamp by Stampscades, the background was Paper Pizzazz paper.
When I showed it to Bret he said he wasn't keen of the heart smoke

so I redid the card without it and he liked it better. I gave my friends the choice and they all wanted the heart smoke :0)

Shoebox Thursday
For today's shoebox Kathy had this masculine valentine's card, idea she CASE from Pinterest. Except for the thread that was from her stash everything else is SU
on the photo above you can't see details so here is the heart...she had already die cut and embossed the hearts for us, we just had to sponge a little
for the banners she had the pieces cut to width, embossed (with score board, blue piece one direction, brown opposite direction) and we had to cut banner point and add the thread to button

Sunday Tip or Technique
One of the TTs last year was half circle pop-up card. I believe the original card was done by Julie Davidson since then some people had made the card and changed something. This was my take on the card. Grandma was turning 90 yesterday so this is the card I made her using the TT. She likes blue. I used SU's butterfly basic stamp set. Colored the flowers with Copic Markers
the inside message is Endless Creations
used Spellbinder's whimsical alphabet die for the 90

I made this for a watch or clock mingle. The folder is by Tim Holtz, the watch is from a SU set I stamped it 3 times cut each part of the watch and then put it together for the top I added a epoxy clear sticker by The Paper Studio that is meant for bottle caps but it fitted perfectly to make the top of the watch more realistic

Virtual Calendar
Last year I made some cards for an adoptive Grandma for her to send to her young great & great-great-grandkids for their birthdays. This year I did the same but I also included a virtual calendar book.
This was the book. The front was done by computer and decorated with two SU sets
This was the book. The front was done by computer and decorated with two SU sets
For the inside cover I added a pocket for postage stamps...added a sheet of stamps so she can send them more personalized...this year's PO stamps that says from me to you...love them! Although I can't used them most times as the cards I sent are from Bret & I :0)
The pages were done with Excel so I could make the days thick enough to hopefully fit all names. All pages are pockets so she can add the cards...all I added was the cards for the kids under 13
After I had all the pages done I bind them with an office book binding kind of boring but that was the only binding that was sold for home use over 15 years ago :0) I thought of taking it to an office store but I did have a wide enough worm and really want to use them all up :0)
