More Monoprinting playing

I decided to play more with my plates this time I used the Monoprint Plate by Grafix as I wasn't sure how this ink were going to do. I used Posh Rainbow Ink Luminous Metallics by Ranger Industries Metallic violet & Metallic pink along with Broadway Brights Dye ink Black. I had them for many years and back them we used them with compressed sponges, anyway figure I could try see how they did with the plate. They did stain a bit the plate as they are sort of permanent ink on plastic. They have a shimmer look to it. I used Neenah exact index 90Lb paper

Because I didn't read the labels didn't pay attention on the colors until I added the drops and water so on the first two I used brayer to spread the inks

from here on I added water more of the other colors and more water. On each paper added more water and maybe one or drop or nothing

Summer birthday

I love summer so these were fun cards to make like being back at the beach 😊 I used beach bears set by Trina Clark with hybrid black licorice ink and colored with Copic markers, I used purple & black Wink of Stella brush glitter pens for the sunglasses and then also for the flowers. For the sand I used a stamp by Posh Impressions & Rubber Stampede with crumb cake ink and for the sky I used a blending tool to apply tumbled glass ink. Cut my layers with The Stamps of Life stitched rectangle dies.

I wanted to make some cards that would work for either men or women at the end not really sure if they did but either way I liked how these cards came out. I used the one sheet wonder technique to cut my papers because I had several sheets I was able to make a lot of cards even when not enough cuts in one sheet. The ribbon/lace was from my stash just to finish whatever I had left so from previous projects. I tried using different stamp all with tuxedo black ink and punch for the different cards just to make them a little different😊

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's shoebox project I have another St Patrick's Day project. This one was inspired by Kim Wilson on Pinterest. I originally was going to colored the frame which I did but it took too long so decided to use green paper instead so no color was needed

This was my first card

I colored the shamrocks with Copic Markers as well as the chick and the grass

then I went for this as it was easier or quicker

I stamped by shamrock frame by Stamp Happen with cottage ivy ink then cut just around all edges and matted on my white base leaving 1/16" border for my top layer I cut it with The Stamps of life stitched rectangle die; then stamped my hat from the set here's lookin' at you by My Creative Time also with cottage ivy ink masked it stamped my chicken which is from hey chick's SU SAB set with tuxedo black ink, stamped grass which is a Posh Impressions/Rubber Stampede stamp. Finally the message is by Stamptastic also with cottage ivy ink I colored the chick with Spectrum Noir and Memento dual markers

Shoebox Thursday by Candee

For today's shoebox project, Candee had this messy project with Colourcraft Brusho. We got to pick our colors for our stripe of watercolor paper and according to the colors we got to stamp our image from the sale-a-bration set amazing you.

While the watercolor piece was drying I worked on the other part of the card. The brusho colors I used were gamboge, brilliant red & yellow. All stamping was done with tuxedo black ink; the big stamp is Rubber Stampede & Posh Impressions then I ran through big shot with garden trellis textured impressions embossing folder

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's shoebox project again I used another set by The Stamps of Life, yes I'm trying to use all the sets I have gotten from them in the past so I don't feel I have wasted my money by being in their club :0) so far my hoped was to use the set within the month of getting it but it has not happened once until now of course as this card was using this month's set :0)

I left it without message so they can add whatever they need, I used my cards for anniversary cards as I seem to be in need of those. for the water scene I use color layering goldfish set by Hero Arts (algae & rocks) with bamboo leaves and olive grove ink and gray flannel ink, the sand dunes are by Posh Impressions with desert sand ink. The fish I stamped with tuxedo black then die cut them with their matching die you have two options to cut the fish one with a border and the other without I cut both and for this card I liked it better without but decided they would have their choice of how they wanted their fish and also I colored with Copic Markers and they were to bring their choice of coloring medium, bubbles are part of the set and was also colored with Copic Markers. I didn't want to worry about where the light and shadows went on the fish I always seem to have problem with that so I just colored as I wish guess I have been doing a lot of SU cards where it doesn't matter where the light or shadow goes LOL you just stamps and you're done
