Little note card

I made this cute little note cards that were pretty clean and simple for quick thank you or for a quick note they're about 2.75 x 4" most of them were this size but not all of them, as I was using up scraps of papers. I like doing this size note cards when I have lots of scraps and I don't want to throw into recycle bin so a great way to do something quick and useful and my sister likes them :0) she doesn't need envelopes and I can use 4 bar envelopes if I need to mail the card as it's the smallest the PO allows us to mail

The flower is from the ATC set by Dee Gruening and I used several  Memento ink pads. The ovals were done with Spellbinders classic oval dies and the border was Martha Stewart's floral lace edge punch

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's shoebox project I had a card that was inspired by Jan B's beehive card. I used Memory Box honeycomb remnant steel die for my background then I did beehive using the Oval collection framelits dies by SU then embossed with hexagon dynamic textured impressions embossing folder also by SU, the beehive was mounted on foam tape, the bees are from the detailed dragonfly thinlits dies and I applied Wink of Stella glitter blush silver, for the opening of the beehive I used LifeStyle Crafts nesting oval dies

I know Christmas already but yes I love Christmas and I have always love the Christmas in July so I'll show some card here and there not the whole month :0)

This was a quick and easy card done with the July 2016 what a gem paper pumpkin. I used the word window punch to cut the trunk of the tree, sponged the trees with mowed lawn ink, the star is a rhinestone from my stash

Birthday

Today is our favorite brother-in-law's birthday. Since his stroke, he doesn't do much so no hobbies other than coffee or food LOL and of course watch the Seahawks but they're not playing right now and I gave him a Seahawks card last year so wanted to give him something different, beside that is not easy making a football card since I'm not into sports LOL anyway is a bit hard to do a card when there are no hobbies but I saw a card by Ruth so thought that would be perfect as he loves chocolates as much as my sister does...I think

Anyway, the changes on my card I score in between the square pieces as I remember that when I cut the Hersheys for S'mores there is an indentation, I know I don't eat chocolate so I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure there are marks so I did marks on mine and I also put squares picking out of the wrapping which is chocolate wrapping as that was the closest thing I had to metallic paper and I know we normally don't put too many embellishments on guy cards but it needed something so I added the flat ribbon which is by SU.  The "you're so sweet" is from the set cake2stamp by The Stamps of Life and the "happy birthday" is from the set close to the heart by Birch Press Design
