Shoebox Tuesday

For today's project I had a pretty simple Christmas card. I precut the pierced frame and mounted on foam on the red layer, at first it was going to stay that way but it just needed something so I sprayed some sheer shimmer craft spray frost and Nuvo mica spray midnight horizon then stamped my message added the brads which I got either at Impress or at one of the shows from Outlet Eyelets & Brads. The stamping was done with VersaFine Clair nocturne and the English message is by Rubber Marbles and the one in Spanish is by Stamp A Mania

Sympathy Dog

Recently Jennifer McGuire posted about a card drive at a blog by Ricky Live Like Roo and for the first time I was able to help her cause. I love helping on card drives but only when it's blank cards with no messages on the inside, on matter what the note is I know. I work on my cards for the charity and if that is not personal enough for them that is too bad. Ricky luckily just wanted cards for Sarah so I was able to help not with a lot of cards as by the time I saw the post and due date not enough time to work on cards and mail and my stash didn't have a lot of cards of what they require

This was one of the cards I mailed them. Used dog sympathy set by Our Daily bread with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink, and stitched square dies by The Stamps of Life

Ways with Washi Tape homework Day 4

On my Washi Tape class for this day was using the big tape to create a shaker card. Alexandra used the big alphabet dies and on one of my past classes with them I had used a big die for a shaker card and of course that die seems to be my go to but didn't want to do the same so I did use the same die but made it different.

I also use the same painted fantasy washi tape from Altenew, the Y die is by MFT, the o & u are from and alphabet die I have, and the are amazing are from thanks stamp & set by HA with tuxedo black ink, the bits for the shaker are metallic gold jewels from PPP. Because the Y was too closed to the edge and was hard to add foam I decided to just drop the Y that came out of the top and the acetate is just on the top with nothing inside

Ways with Washi Tape homework Day 1

Last month I took a class with Alexandra at the Altenew Academy using washi tape. It was one class for 6 days something different each day. On the first day it was using washi tape with a modern design like the herringbone pattern so this was my take. I used Recollections washi tape, added some enamel accents black, my message is a die in a word hello by Winnie & Walter, cover with Spectrum Noir crystal clear sparkle glitter brush and then glossy accents
