Travel or Postage

For one of my mingles (aka swap) the theme was travel or postage not really in my "box" so borrowed a stamp and which don't know the company and did the DTP (direct to paper) technique using distress ink then cut the pieces with Coluzzle template, the message is by Stamp me Tender!

Pocket card

Early this year when I was at Impress I had seen in their website this die by Pretty Pink Posh. I was curious about it but they didn't have any samples using it so decided to go ahead and get it anyway. I was not impress with it...at first but then it was the perfect die when sending/giving gift cards.

This is the sample card I made just to see how it would work, because it's just a one side cutting you can make it any width you want/need and it's about 5-1/2" long so it can be cut for any size card up to 5-1/2" but guess bigger it would just be a short pocket :0)

The stamp set is SU's hearts a flutter, the punch is SU's rounded tab punch and Outlet Eyelets & Brads mouth brad.

This is what I decided to use the die for.
I cut a bunch of pieces from my scrap box in different colors hoping that when I need one it would be either match the card base or be a contrasting color or just something different. In a way I think either of the two choices would be best so they can notice something odd on the back as I had had to tell a few to see the back so guess they don't see it or feel it when is the same color as base

any way I used scor-tape on 3 edges and violà perfect pocket, keeps the gift card safely in place and don't have to make a pocket or envelope for gift card or just toss it inside :0)

Thinking of you

I made this card for either sympathy or get well. I figure either one needed prayers all I would have to do is stamped the right message inside...sympathy or get well.

Used SU's thoughts & prayers stamp set, the (pink) pearls Recollections, ribbon by Offray and SU's scallop border punch

Shoebox Thursday

For today's shoebox project Darlene had a 4th of July card. The idea came from Pinterest. She actually had two samples one was plain background and a ribbon across a top corner and bottom opposite side corner and the other had Darice fireworks background BUT when I stamped my image wasn't thinking that the folder seemed TO ME going the other way so decided to emboss with swiss dots, just to give it texture . Also her sample had glossy accent on all the stars but one of the ladies added a jewel on the stars I like her idea but I wanted to criss cross the colors so I added a blue rhinestone to the red stars and a red rhinestone to the blue star also I added the rhinestone to the length of the word which is a stamp from Stamps of Life. the hexagon and star punches are SU

Friendship

Love Magnolia's Tilda stamp I think what I like the most is that there is no mouth so I can picture them happy, sad or angry :0)

The background folder is Cuttlebug's James' set, Spellbinders' floral ovals die, Oval was cut with Brother Scan N Cut, the clouds you can hardly see were done with template and VersaMagic, message true friends by Stampendous and the stamp twin Tilda was colored with Copic Markers

Shoebox Tuesday

I don't normally make 4th of July cards but for today's shoebox project I wanted to do a card similar to one I saw on Pinterest since my ship was too small had to do something to cover the big area :0) that's when I thought fireworks. I'm still showing my friends the different stair step cards so this is what I made

The fireworks stamp is by Great Impressions, the ship is by Local King, the message Savvy Stamps, also used SU's word window punch and modern label punch, rhinestones from my stash and the twine cording is by Maya Road
