Happy 40th

Today our oldest is turning 40! amazing how old our kids make us feel 😂 this is the card I made him. I had seen varios tutorials since last year Sam at Mixed up crafts was the first but she never makes anything small which doesn't matter much as I have all kinds of envelopes or can make my own but recently some SU demonstrators made some smaller versions that still didn't fit A2 envelopes but fit A6 envelopes which are the envelopes I use for my personal use so decided to try that version, Bret is the only one that gets any size cards 😀 had to go around a bit all their tutorial as I have OCD and don't like scoring lines where they are not needed plus as you can see I used what everyone had been using as the back as my front. For my base I used Recollections 110 lb. elementary cardstock pack, the key paper is by Recollections, the car is paper by Karen Foster Design let’s go surfin’, the top is map paper by Best Creations Inc Craft n Craftin, the tracks is paper I got at Joann's so it's probably Core'dinations. The message is Big 40 stamp by Creative Vision with VersaFine Clair fallen leaves

I made a mini card on back to cover the personal message with Recollections 110 lb. white cardstock and used 5mm x 1mm magnets to keep closed

Feliz Día de las Madres

Today is Mother's Day in Mexico and I am lucky to still have my mom to celebrate her or at least send her a card and call her. This is the card I sent her this year on the clean and simple I guess compare to the cards I sent to everyone else for Mother's day but they were different and I hope she liked it

I cut my black cardstock by Park Lane 110 lb with Cindy Echtinaw Designs Card Creator Perfect Layers A and my white cardstock by Recollections 110 lb with double stitched rectangle die by Kat Scrappiness. I used for all the flowers and leaves the build-a-flower: Rose set which includes dies by Altenew with Altenew crisp dye ink. For message I used Feliz Día de la Madre international set by CTMH with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink

For leaves: green valley collection inks firefly, grass field, shadow creek & mountain pine

For flower pink flower: cherry blossom collection inks pink diamond, pinkalicious, rubellite & razzleberry and razzleberry (double stamped for last layer)

For yellow flower: pocketful of sunshine collection inks citrus burst, fresh lemon, maple yellow, honey drizzle, & warm sunshine

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's day to all mom out there from step mom's, adopted moms, foster moms and biological moms.

This is the card I sent this year except for my mom. Slimline easel card, it was not quite 8.5 x 3.5 but there are no rules for this type of cards, everyone does whatever size they want or like so for these cards I used a napkin I got at Dollar Tree a few years ago so had to use the size of the napkin. I added a gold dragonfly as embellishment on the front. I mounted the napkin on cardstock I had in my scrap drawer then mounted on the blue cardstock that was 65 lb. by Recollections from those variety packs then mounted on white core Ivory 110 lb. cardstock by Park Lane and finally used Accent Opaque Digital International Paper 100 lb. Cover Smooth white cardstock as my base since it was 11x17 perfect for slimline size cards. For the stopper I used large oval punch and scallop oval punch (this was a few layers to make it higher) both by SU

for the Spanish version I used Deseos pequeñitos set with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink also by SU

for the English version itty bitty greetings set also with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink
