Thinking of you

I love black and white and this is more of a monochromatic look than a black & white but it was a manly card so it was more on the clean & simple side. I had been wanting to use this tiger stamp by Sparkle N Sprinkle for always run out of time seems not enough hours in the day to do all the cards I want LOL I stamped it with HA intense black ink used The Stamps of Life stitched circles to cut my tiger and PPP scallop circles to do my frame, for my message I used I used Altenew set beautiful inside with VersaFine Clair nocturne and did my layers with The Stamp Doctor's center step card die

Happy Birthday

This was a quick card, I gotten this DSP from a stamping friend and I liked it so I grab one of my happy birthday dies and just added it to my front panel and card was done clean and simple but wanted to show the paper, it had a nice pattern the stitching, the flowers, the collage feel to it

Shoebox Thursday

For today's project I have a card that was inspired by something I saw on Altenew's blog, a card by Laurie Willison. I decided to play again with my Picket Fence blending brushes, still trying to see if they are any easier on the hand than the blending tools but so far they're not or maybe it's just me. Anyway I used oxide inks tumbled glass, broken china and faded jeans. The stamping was mega greetings 4 set by Altenew with VersaFina Clair nocturne and I used scoring board to add some texture on top and bottom and then Nuvo Drops morning dew

Paper Pumpkin

This was one of my alternative card on the August 2018 kit blissful blooms. I used mossy meadow ink with a sponge on the tag then stamped my message  from the blissful bouquet October 2015 paper pumpkin set with flirty flaming ink, the top of the card is the inside of the envelope and the bottom part of a card the strip was a scrap of flirty flamingo cardstock

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's project we did a simple messy project using sprays. Each one got to pick between 3 colors that I have of Tim Holtz spray stains shaded lilac, candied apple & scatted straw and 3 mica sprays tarnished brass, brushed pewter & antique bronze. Some I used enamel dots to embellish others liquid pearls or Nuvo Drops. The stamping was done with VersaFine Clair nocturne and VersaFine onyx black with tea-rrific stamp of the month by CTMH To anchor the cups I used Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. We used some sort of shimmer paper

For these two cards were all 3 stains & tarnished brass, I used my gloved finger to rub the ink and because I had added too much I kissed the two pieces so got two with the one inking

Happy Labor Day & back to school

Most schools in this area are going back to school either tomorrow or Wednesday depending on their excuse of why they shouldn't go back on Tuesday after being out of school since the end of June. And for this school year I made our oldest grand-daughter this card. Amazing how fast the year went, can't say the same about the summer though.

The image is little nibbler by Stampabilities stamped with Altenew Crisp permanent black colored with Copic Markers, my layer was cut with hexagon stitched label, the message is from school days set by Altenew and stamped with W Plus 9 Pure Color dye black ink, it's a nice black not Copic friendly and very permanent so it stains the stamps 😕 cut my layer with stitched rounded rectangle layers and mounted on foam

Monoprinting Class Homework 2

For this class it was using alcohol inks. I used my Copic refills since that's the only alcohol markers I have and I don't own any other alcohol inks

Because we were advised that the Gelli Press or Plate would stain with this technique and I wasn't sure if my OCD was going to like it I decided to use my Monoprint Plates by Grafix for this technique. It work out fine for the most part and with rubbing alcohol it clean perfectly so I was happy camper LOL

For the first panel it was applying the drops of alcohol ink directly and let them do their thing nothing more and this was my result on glossy paper. RV21, V04, G21

the next step didn't work on this plate as the ink dry completely.

For the next panel, spritz rubbing alcohol on plate, then drops of ink I added two more colors V12, R20 on Neenah 80lb cardstock

I spritz again with rubbing alcohol and added a couple drops
