Shoebox Tuesday

For today's shoebox I wanted to do another Christmas card but figure if they don't have their Christmas cards done by now they probably won't :0) so figure they could use a New Year's card idea so this is what I did. I got the idea from Stampin' in the sand. The folder is Cuttlebug, the trees are SU, the message is unknown and use a Fiskars fancy scissors for the tag/label

Nutty hi

When the acorny thank you stamp set by SU came out I wasn't completely sure if I should put it on my wish list or not as I kind of saw it as a fall set and I don't want stamps just for one season but then I saw the cards Sharon Armstrong was doing for her October online class and they were cute so decided to get it and hold and behold I had fun with it.

I got the set and punch before the class supplies so had a chance to play with the set before working on the class. This is one of the cards I did. I found some acorn paper in my stash that like for this project, stamped words and the bottom part of the acorn with rich cocoa and for the top I used handmade glitter paper colored with Copic Marker and airbrush system then punched with matching punch. For the bottom of the card I used the September 2015 paper pumpkin stamp set and desert sand stamped off I wanted a light image. Found some twine in my stash that I liked how it went with what I had so far and violĂ  my card was done

Ay Chihuahua!

This image was fun to color with my Copic Markers. In general I don't like this dogs they're annoying with their little bark but cut in drawings :0) The embossing border is by Cuttlebug and the stamp is Stampa Rosa

A cup of tea?

This was a simple card using a SU stamp sets and punch, paper doily and ribbon from stash. I empty the teabag first so it wouldn't be bulky and second just to make sure it doesn't spoil or attract bugs :0)

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's shoebox I had another Christmas project. I got the idea from Kay Kalthoff. I used two SU sets. I wanted a really bright sharp brown color for the pine cones but didn't have any so stamped them with rich cocoa then cut them with Brother Scan & Cut and then used a sponge to add some Brilliance ink so it gave it a bit of shimmer plus color
