Happy Birthday

These are two more cards with peel-off stickers on glitter paper and Copic markers. The only thing I don't like about working with the stickers and glitter paper is the fuzzy cutting but at least most of the images aren't too hard to cut :0) the words are stamped with faded jeans ink, don't know who made the stamps got them many many years ago. The stickers were from Krazy Kreations

Shoebox Thursday by Kathy

Kathy was in Hawaii recently so for today's shoebox project she had for us a card using some of the papers she bought while she was there. They are by BoBunny.

Kathy had everything cut and punched for us but if I remember right the circle and scallop are SU and the flowers are Marvy but not 100% sure :0) the rhinestones are from her stash. The photo doesn't show too well but the tiny rhinestones are everywhere here and there in the center of the flowers

Hello friend

When I saw Jennifer demo this set color layering deer by Hero Arts I just had to get it but was not looking for a Christmas stamp set, I knew I would probably never use it for Christmas but for every day cards. The background was done with wildflower background stamp by Rubbernecker with toffee crunch ink; used the corner rounder by EK Success; the grass was done with tree leaves stamp by Stampendous with bamboo leaves ink; the message is from friendship messages set by Simon Says Stamp; for the deer I used dessert sand, toffee crunch, rich cocoa & espresso truffle inks

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's shoebox project was a two for one project. Clean and simple cards for any occasion but one of them I made as mother's day as it's approaching.

The first card was using piecing technique. First I stamped the rose from rose wonder set by SU with tuxedo black ink then I cut my rose with the matching die set rose garden and piece together the rose and yes I was lazy and only did the rose as the pieces for the leaves were too little so I colored those with Spectrum Noir markers. The oval was left over still from this shoebox :0) I was thinking about what to do, when I saw the oval so why not used them since they were done and ready just needed a message that would fit there. For my layer, I wanted it to match the sponging on the oval so I sponged the edge of the card with shaded lilac and a perfect match. The message was stamped with tuxedo black and is by Stampendous

After I finished the card above I had the outline of the rose that was too pretty to throw away and of course everyone was going to have one so had to do something with it right? :0) so decided to make another quick card so grabbed the same ink pad shaded lilac sponged inside the petals and my base just as I did before so they would match and picked on of the messages from the set using the same ink and then, of course, needed a little more color so sponged some shabby shutters ink and violĂ  the other quick and simple card was done...ok maybe not so quick but simple :0)

Antique car

I was working on some male cards and I knew I was going to need cards for some of my groups for mingles (aka swaps) at the end I donated all but one because Send A Smile 4 Kids needed some cards for the teens so figure these were good for them

I stamped the cars which are from a set by Local King then I die cut my squares with stitched squares by The Stamps of Life then did my card base which was one of my new favorite fold but not so much as it's hard for the message :0) otherwise love it

With Sympathy

I had to make a sympathy card for my personal use, recently I was making some for my donation box but these were for me to use it's never easy to give these kind of cards but it's nice to give a little comfort to those that loss some one

This card uses a stamp by Dream A Little stamped with tuxedo black, the message is from the set rose wonder by SU also with tuxedo black, I used my Copic airbrush system, die cut my piece with a My Favorite Things stitched rectangle stax and the ribbon is by SU

Stampin' Up workshop

This morning I attended a workshop with two of the local SU demonstrators. We got to make 4 cards although I made 5 :0) all products are SU except for the Copic Markers I used

For the first card, we used seaside textured impressions embossing folder, layering circles framelits sponging the edges with dauber and calypso coral ink; umbrella weather framelits, hello you thinlits, endless birthday wishes stamp set with dapper denim ink and punched with duet banner and adding a little color with dauber and same dapper denim ink

For this second card, the die cuts were done for us all we had to do was stamped and put together but we used cool treats stamp set and matching framelits frozen treats, peekaboo peach ink and chocolate chip ink, ruched peekaboo peach ribbon

For these cards, I couldn't decide which card I liked best the pink or blue so made both :0) they both use same supplies just different colors. I didn't add a message which was our choice there were 3 different sets to add with Sahara sand ink and the pearls

And last but not least, the card I colored with Copic Markers. Again we could choose different image if we wanted as the set Easter message has the cross and the lilies but I decided to go with the cross. I stamped it with tuxedo black since I was coloring with Copic Markers so did the message, the original message was done with gray for both, the background was also part of the set and I stamped off and then stamped with Bermuda bay and because I didn't like the flap not staying put I attached it but didn't think about it until after I finished the card otherwise I would have stamped some palms on the flap instead of on the back of the flap and since I don't have the set couldn't fix when I thought about it :0)

Spin around ball

After I made this card I decided to play with my new toys by My Favorite Things by making a spinner card using some of the same peel-off stickers I had ready for the other cards as I could use them as a ball in a pool. The happy birthday was stamped with faded jeans and is by Impress. The opening of my slider I did with SU's word window punch as my die was too long. Loved the spin discs

Shoebox Thursday

For today's shoebox project, it was pretty much for us to do whatever we wanted with the supplies given. Candee gave us emerald envy cardstock layer, peekaboo peach cardbase cardstock and die cut of a bee plus a piece of inside the lines DSP. She had colored a piece with 3 mediums...aqua painter and ink, Copic Markers and Cameleon Markers. She didn't have enough Copic Markers to color, I don't like the aqua painter and the Cameleon is too much work so I did most of my card at home with my Copic Markers :0) I added some yellow paper to the body of my bee and also some glitter paper to the wings and mounted it with foam. Because I did color the whole thing I didn't do much shading :0) I know laziness but I was happy with the card

Happy Birthday to Moo

This was a fun card to make. The peel-off sticker is by Krazy Kreations, they have fun stickers. Used decorative label punch by SU, the message is from wild blossoms by Gina K Designs stamped with mowed lawn. The sticker was attached to glitter paper and then colored with Copic Markers then fuzzy cut. I hate fuzzy cutting but it's the only way to cut the stickers :0)

3 Clovers

For this card, I used musical flourished embossing folder by Cuttlebug for my background, for my lucky clovers, I used SU's small heart punch...I punched my hearts folded in half and butted their backs back to back to create dimension and the heart again, I used the two-step bird punch for the stem and rhinestones from my stash

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's shoebox project I wanted to use the balloon pop-up die on a flat card so this is what I did. I had the base already cut and folded so pretty much all I had to do was figure out how to use those bases so cut my white layer with 1/16" al around then cut the balloon pop-up but just cut a frame then let them decide what color they wanted their balloons. Because of my OCD I had to punch a balloon with the balloon bouquet punch for the center so it didn't show the bottom balloons but it was up to each one of them if they could live with the way the die was or not :0) also mounted the center balloon with foam; the banner was left as is and just cut a second one to mount on top of the green sponged before adhering with cottage ivy ink. The message stamped in love letter ink is from the balloon adventures set as well as the confetti on the background stamped with cottage ivy ink

Thank you

These cards were pretty quick & easy. I got the idea from Pinterest but not sure from whom as the card I saw was a long time ago so did mine by what I remember. I believe her card had ribbon and pearls. I picked my papers and after that pretty much all cards were done the same cut all pieces the same except for the portrait as I grab the paper the wrong way and so had to go the other way as I wanted all my stripes to go the same direction. I rounded the corners with and EK Success punch, the brands and eyelets were from my stash

On this cards, I used timeless textures stamp for the background with ground espresso ink stamped off, the words are from a set by Hampton Arts also in ground espresso ink

for this one, also timeless textures with ground espresso stamped off, the message is part of the hostess set simplemente para ti also in ground espresso

Again, timeless textures with ground espresso stamped off and message is from the set by Hero Arts Thanks in ground espresso

last but not least, timeless textures with ground espresso stamped off and message from brushed greetings II in ground espresso

Birthday balloons

This card was inspired by Connie S card. After her card, I saw other blogs posting the same layout and supplies so I'm guessing it was a sketch. I used the same stamp set balloon adventures by SU but instead of the DSP I just used papers and ribbons from my stash making different colors. Cards went for my donation box for Send A Smile 4 Kids

Thinking of you dragonflies

When I was working on these cards I planned it so I cut my piece of cardstock big enough and saved all the little pieces that came out of the die so I could do these cards...from the start I knew it would be a simple card since I was knew it would have a lot of frustrations the doing the puzzle so didn't want to complicate my life :0). I had seen cards on Pinterest and on different blogs using this die but they never put the little pieces in between the dragonflies and it looked weird like something was missing and always wonder if they can fuzzy cut why couldn't they add the little pieces it wasn't that hard!! it took time but so does fuzzy cutting!! The message is by Endless Creations stamped with tuxedo black ink and I used pearls by Recollections

This is another of the designs for the Gray Matters Foundation box. Again I used detailed dragonfly Thinlits die with rhinestones from stash and handwritten designer die by Little B

18th birthday

Our niece turned 18 today and this is the card I made for her. It took me a little to come up with a card. First wasn't sure if purple was still her favorite color and it's my go to color when making cards for her or cards since it's my favorite color :0) so decided to assume it still was :0) second I wanted something a little more than just a card since she was becoming an adult, although in Mexico is not a big deal turning 18 as it is here, since, for the most part, we don't leave home as soon as we turn 18 or finish high school, a lot of us stay home until we get married :0) anyway this is the card I came up with.

I did the background with timeless textures set by SU with grape jelly ink. The girl is Sara a digi stamp that sorry to say don't know where I got her, I colored her with Copic Markers then cut her with Spellbinders dies classic large ovals and lacey ovals. I added the rhinestones from my stash, the "P" is a sticker I got at Michaels long time ago for her but never got around to using so decided to add it to her card probably is out of place but I wanted to personalized the card so one way or another I was good with it :0)

for the inside I use the new balloon pop-up Thinlit die by SU, the felicidades and feliz cumpleaños are part of a set by Stampendous stamped with elderberry ink, the 18 was die cut with SU's large number Framelits dies
