Happy Halloween

Hope you all have a fun and safe Halloween night. If you go out and celebrate don't eat lots of candy moderation is the key to success :0)

This is the last Halloween card this year. It was a digital stamp by The Scrapbook Society colored with Copic Markers. The cob webs are left overs from yesterday's card since I only used half on each card and they're by Memory Box haunted web, I did a little bit of sponging with black soot ink

Witch dress

This is another of the Halloween card I made this year. The dress and hat were in my unfinished box. I had way too many project there!! anyway what I did was die cut a SU dress Framelit then used a Martha Stewart grass punch on the bottom and ran it through my Brother Scan N Cut, I also cut the hat there which I have no idea where I got, my guess somewhere in the internet. I just that the pieces in my box no notes or anything.

The idea for my card had come from Stamping with Rose Ellen. The ribbon is SU and the cob web is haunted web by Memory Box...I cut them in half.

Ghosts

While I was digging into my scrap box I found some ghost I had die cut many years ago out of the very old Sizzix die with the original Sizzix machine!! yes back when and I never did anything with them until now :0) anyway I thought I was going to have to wait until next year to use them but Janet from Send A Smile 4 Kids send and email that if we had some Halloween card she could use them for the senior home so send them right way. Pretty much was the same design I found a scrapbook paper that didn't think I could use for anything but when I saw the ghost it was like they would go together so this is what I did

Added some wiggly eyes on all of them for this first card I stamped my message with tuxedo black which was a stamp by Art Impressions them punched with decorative label by SU but cut off some of the label as I didn't want that much label

For this one I stamped my message which is a stamp by Uptown also with tuxedo black then cut a strip that would fit into the word window punch by SU and punched the edges

and for this last one stamped my message a stamp by Make an Impression also with tuxedo black and then cut a strip that would fit into the modern label punch by SU

Birthday celebrations

While I was checking my unfinished project box I found some card fronts that all I needed was to put on card bases so finished these cards to add to my donation box. Don't know the ink I used the pieces was stamped and embossed since who knows how long ago I think both stamps are from the upsy daisy set by SU, square lattice textured impression folder also by SU, ribbon is by Paper Studio.

Shoebox Thursday

For today's shoebox I made this simple card inspired by something Paula Fay did. She sponged her background but since I have been using up my background papers found one that worked for me. I used Upsy daisy stamp set stamped with tuxedo black and sheltering tree stamp set stamped with vintage photo both by SU and hugs needed by Pink and Main stamped with tuxedo black

Thanks so much

This was also a piece of 4.25 x 5.5 that just cut strip. Jennifer McGuire was doing strips by glueing scrap papers but I went the lazy way by just cutting a striped paper I know what is the fun of that but I also got to use supplies I had forever so we still did a purpose :0) I don't know who made the stamp which was stamped on ground espresso the flowers are by Recollection so is the rhinestone

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's shoebox project I had another fall card. The idea was inspired by Stamping with Trude. This was my take to her card.

I used mostly SU products. Hardwood stamp in rich cocoa ink, oval collection Framelits dies and everything Eleanor stamp set also in rich cocoa ink. For the stem, I used Spellbinders pumpkin die and forest branches embossing folder by Cuttlebug, for my pumpkin to sit on, I used some background paper I had in my stash cut with horizontal stitched strip die by My Favorite Things and rhinestones from my stash

Monday, October 24, 2016

Thanks a bunch

This was not a 12 x 12 paper just a 4.25 x 5.5 that I cut into strips and then glued to my layers added my message in ground espresso by Worth Repeating and added some rhinestones by Darice. These are also going in the donation box

Thanks

These pieces were also in my unfinished box, actually, they were even mounted on a card base :0) so all I had to do was die cut the thanks which is a die by Elizabeth Crafts. I had several of them from when I made these cards...I used the inside parts on the white frames which is the ray of sunshine die by Taylored Expressions and at that time didn't know what I wanted to do with the other parts well now I did :0) I still have to figure out what I want to do with the white parts that came out of the white frames on Easter cards LOL

the next two were thanks to you by Pink and Main

Shoebox Thursday

Today was my turn to host the shoebox project so this is what I did. The idea came from Sheila van Uiter and this was my take to her card

I used texture leaves folder by Tim Holtz, my white twine was left over from my past paper pumpkins, white tea paper doily is by SU, the punches circle punches are EK Success, I stamped acorny thank you with soft suede then punched but it's best if you punch and then stamp as I cut off a little of the tip anyway probably it was my OCD :0) the doily was mounted on foam everything else was flat to the doily

Christmas cards

Today I went to a Christmas cards event with one of the local SU demonstrators. We made 4 cards mostly using products from the holiday catalog. Maybe there were a couple things from the yearly catalog and one retired punch but most of them you can find in the holiday catalog so I won't list anything if you have any questions, just ask I'll be happy to answer :0)

On this card we stamped the hollies then punched them individually, was pretty quick and easy :0)

This one I made one change from the original which was not adding the sequins as I don't care for them :0)

For this one the only tip is to waste less washi tape is to use the actual tree that you die cut as your template.

On this one I changed my message, she used deck the halls, the greetings message was a little big for the punch but I was ok as I didn't want deck the halls and all the other messages on the set provided were too long. I could have used one of the messages from the other boxes but this worked out ok FOR ME :0)

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's shoebox project I did a card inspired on something I saw on Pinterest, not from someone in particular :0)

I stamped my hardwood stamp by SU with crumb cake ink, then I die cut my pumpkin, die by Spellbinders then sponged the edges with vintage photo ink. I stamped flurry of birds stamp by Memory Box also with crumb cake ink, added a little anchor with Copic Markers on my tree. The leaves are also Spellbinders dies

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's shoebox project I have a simple fall birthday card. The idea came from Newton's Nook Designs. So this is my spin to her card. The background stamping was done with open falling leaves by Heartfelt Creations stamped with rich cocoa on some fiber paper, the message is a combination of Papertrey Ink stamps of the month with early espresso ink, the leaves were cut with leaflets Framelits dies on burlap paper sponged with vintage photo ink, the brad, I believe is from Eyelets Outlet & Brads as I got them at Impress. The front panel was done with Borderabilities curved borders die by Spellbinders

Monday, October 10, 2016

Thinking of you

For this set I also got several cards out of the one 12x12 with not a lot of waste :0) I used brushed greetings II by Clearly Besotted stamped with tuxedo black, added faux pearls from my stash to each flower...some were blue pearls and some white pearls. These cards are for the donation box also.

Baby card

Today is Josh & Constance's baby shower since they don't know what is the sex of the baby was a bit hard to make a card as I normally go for the sex, probably not everyone but I do so I decided to do something totally different. They are both Seahawk's fans so I use that as my theme :0) the words were created on computer. I printed some Seahawk's paper then stamped the onesie image from The Stamps of Life did a little highlight with Copic Marker, probably should have used a darker color but oh well, then I die cut it with the matching die. For the background I use some glittered washi tape I got at Impress, they have a lot of Seahawks stuff being in WA :0)

Saturday, October 8, 2016

Thank you

For this set I really got a good number out of the 12x12, still some waste but not as much. The faux pearls are Memory Box. The message on the first card stamped on tuxedo black is wild blossoms from Gina K and the rest are also stamped on tuxedo black but with the stamp set scripty sayings also by Gina K. These cards are also for the donation box

Birthday wishes

Another card using background paper. For this one I only cut one card out of the whole 12x12 but didn't toss the rest as it was like wavy lines that thought maybe I can use for water. Faux pearls from stash the message stamped on Danube blue is wild blossoms stamp set by Gina K. These are also going to the donation box

Thursday, October 6, 2016

Thank you

SU has a sale on their background papers so a lot of their demonstrators are posting samples using mostly DSP so I decided to check my stash to see if I could do something with mostly papers which is something I normally don't do but I had fun. I have way too many papers that I don't use because I don't see their use in cards well was able to make several cards :0)

I wasn't thinking so didn't take a photo of the full sheets but in the next few days I'll be showing you the different cards I made with the sheets. All papers were 12x12

On this sheet I was able to do 3 different cards. The rest of the paper went to the recycle bin I know a lot of waste but if I really think about it I got a lot use even if a wasted a lot :0) the faux pearls were from my stash and the message is friendship messages by Simon Says Stamp. These cards are going on my donation box :0)
