Score board thanks

Another thank you card for the donation box. To make my card because I have never liked how the paper looks after embossed...like the texture on front but not on the inside/back so I worked my card on the front panel then adhere it to my card base which was of the same color.

I stamped my vine with floral wings SU set then cut my stripe and mounted it on a neutral color then adhere to my layer piece then put the layer on my scoring board and score about 1-1/4" every 1/8"
then I stamped my thank you which was from the painted petals SU set then I mounted the layer to my card base

Graffiti

This card for the donation box was fun to make. If it was on real life it would be so much fun if we could just deal with dumping ink on a wall and call it good :0) The idea for this card was by Windy Ellard she call it graffiti so I'm calling it the same.

So this is my take to her card, can't really recall what she did but what I did was stamped the graffiti with gorgeous grunge set by SU when I was happy with how my wall looked I ran my London Fog ink pad through the brick texture impressions embossing folder by SU and put my cardstock in and ran through Vagabond that's why the grout shows gray. Then I die cut several thanks from Little B stacked them and glue to card so they would have some dimension

Shoebox Thursday by Candee

For today's shoebox project Candee had this lovely card. Shiny or metallic paper or like SU calls it foil paper is never easy to photograph.

We embossed the top white piece with softly falling textured impressions embossing folder, she had the 2" circle punched out for us so we just had to score it and it was done two sides at 5/8". The ribbon, basic black taffeta, was attached to the back of the silver paper and bow was done separately. We die cut botanical builder Framelits, added a little color with water brush and ink bashful blue, crisp cantaloupe and pistachio pudding, dots were done with marker and added some rhinestones. All supplies were SU.

The message on this card is from Winnie & Walter

The message on this card is by Avery Elle

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's shoebox project I actually have two. I had worked on my projects and didn't realize that today was the last Tuesday in July so no more Christmas in July so decided instead of saving the project for December that I would have the two projects :0)

The first one is faux colored embossing. I used Script Christmas tree set by Heartfelt Creations colored the words with Memento dual markers, I used lady bug, cottage ivy, bamboo leaves, olive grove, pistachio, peanut brittle & rich cocoa. I used my MISTI to do this, tried using one color per word, using the MISTI it was very simple to do the next step. I clean the stamp...make sure it was clean and dry as well as my stamp image and restamped the whole image with VersaMark and then applied clear embossing powder...using the embossing buddy helps but I always forget :0) The front panel was cut with Holiday tree 2010 die by Spellbinders. The star rhinestone was from my stash

Obviously, the photo doesn't show the embossing but trust me in real life it looks emboss :0) this technique works well only with stamp positioner or MISTI. No, the MISTI is not a stamp positioner but as long as you didn't move the stamp from where it was the first time as well as putting the paper in the same spot as the first time it will stamp exactly on the same spot. When using stamp positioner it works best if you align the paper with the positioner instead of the stamp :0)

When I showed this card to my friends, one of them said she would like to make it so this was the other project I had worked on.

I picked some Christmas papers and from there I just had to find cardstock and a message. I used Avery Elle die set custom panel, the message is from more merry messages set by SU with Brilliance graphite black ink and clear embossing powder

Angled note card

Another any occasion card for the donation box. It has been a while since I bought the custom panel die set by Avery Elle but finally got to use it :0) the angled pieces were cut with one of the dies in the set I mounted them about 3/16" apart give or take, the message is from a set by Simon Says Stamp, the butterfly is SU, pearls from stash

While still have my supplies on the desk decided to make some cards for my personal use to finish up the rest of the paper, decided to add birthday greetings as I figure that would be what I was going to use them for :0)

For this one the message is part of a set by Poppy Stamps

and for this one the message is part of a set by SU

Paper Pumpkin

These cards were also for the donation box, again just any day or birthday cards. I use the May 2016 paper pumpkin kit Many Manly Occasions.

The words are from a Hero Arts stamp set, the balloons a SU punch, enamel dot as well as twine from my stash

This one is a shaker card unfortunately I picked the wrong micro beads to use as you can't tell with the dark background but they sure were noisy :0) the birthday is part of Printworks stamp

These other cards were made with the same kit but were not part of the donation box.

This one the message is from the same Hero Arts set, everything else except the background paper is from kit

For this one the feliz is part of a Memory Box die, the words are from a SU set, the mustache is from My Creative Time set

Shoebox Tuesday

For today's shoebox I continued with my Christmas in July so another Christmas card. I had been wanting to do the Northern Lights but had to wait until my hand didn't hurt much as doing the sponging is hard on it.

This was my take at the technique, I think it needed a little more color but couldn't do more sponging :0( I did my shape with Heirloom Ornaments 2011 by Spellbinders, Copic multi liner as the hanger, Memento tuxedo black for images which were by Ann-ticipations, the Santa on sled, and Alota Rubber Stamps, the cabin and Memento inks for the colors...Danube blue, summer sky, sweet plum, cottage ivy and Paris dusk. I made a homemade diffuser and embossed snowflakes folder by Cuttlebug.

Flower Vase

This is another of the cards that went in the donation box. Another any day card. Many years ago one of my friends used to go to the places that sold wallpaper and asked for the books that they no longer needed and was always doing things with them. One of the things she did was punched some vases from Emagination punches and gave us some with different papers and shapes. I never did anything with mine so after seeing a card on Pinterest it reminded me of those punched outs so I dug them out and made these cards.

The embosed frame is a folder by Cuttlebug, the flowers are part of a SU set colored with Memento dual markers and a bit of Copic markers, twine from stash and the message is from those mini sets that sorry don't know who makes it. It was a gift and I was trying to save room by putting all those little sets all together :0) since I was using the punched out ended up with a bunch of different colored vases but they were all the same otherwise. I did glue 2-3 together to make them thicker as they were too flimsy

Butterfly ribbon

I finally got my donation box to Gray Matters Foundation off so I can share the cards that were in the box that I have not share yet :0) Most of the cards were thank you which is what they use the most and I also enjoy making those cards :0) they send a card to every donation they get, I also included some everyday cards just because I wanted to fill the box.

This is one of the cards that was any day or occasion. The idea was from Jan B, she used SU's heart punch and their 1/8" ribbon, since I didn't have that punch and 3 of my friend that I asked didn't have it either, looking on my wall found this Martha Stewart punch which worked perfectly then checked my ribbons and found some Offray ribbon that fit perfectly and match paper I had. Instead of making a bow with the ribbon I added a bow of pearls sticker I got at Dollar Tree. Some of those bows were colored but others were just white and since the colored ones didn't match with the orange I just use a Copic Marker to make them match. The butterfly is a SU stamp and matching die and added some pearls from my stash. Decided not to use message so it could be for anything

I also made some in blue except I left the pearl bow the color it came in the package.

Also, I thought it was best to cut stripes of ribbon instead of threading one very long piece like Jan did :0) I think it was easier plus it saved on ribbon if you are into less waste. On the blue you can see more the image on butterfly compare to orange...in person you could see both well

Sail with me

On one of my Yahoo Groups the theme for the mingle was sail with me. It was anything with a boat of any kind. While searching my embellishment box found some rhinestone stickers of sailboats so used those with the world travel textured impressions embossing folder by SU. Made some extras to finish the stickers so the rest went to my donation box for Send A Smile 4 Kids

Hairy monster

When I got the March paper pumpkin yes I said it was a expensive waste of kit. I don't really do 3D projects but then I saw this card with Rachel Tessman so of course working on card for kids was just perfect so that's how I used my whole kit. I do have a few pieces left that I'll be using...maybe...on some other cards. I didn't do it exactly as Rachel but the ideas was perfect and worked for me the way I made them :0) used misc. punches for the eyes everything else was from kit...except ink of course

for this one I decided to change the message so some could be use for any day. The stamp is by SonLight Impressions

Who's there?

This card was only for the donation box. I know most people use this as a Easter card but to me rabbits are not just for Easter they're around spring and summer at least in our yard :0) probably the rest of the year also but we don't see them. I used dies to make the hole in the grass and the bunny itself was misc punches, actually this pieces were left over from last year or year before when I did some bunny cards I had put all the left-over pieces in my scrap box and while looking for something saw them so got them out to do something as everything was there just needed to make a card :0)

Birthday penguin

Today was the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo in Puyallup, WA. This expo or convention has always been pretty small since it started; this year was in a different building but the same amount of vendors. Among the vendors were Elizabeth Crafts, Scrap-Mart/Justrite Papercraft, Krazy Kreations, Craft Fancy (new vendor for us), Its cheaper than therapy, Art Impressions, Tessler, Queen & Co., Eyelet Outlet & Brads, Scrap That!, Craft Fantastic, Shoe string (new to us), Tall Mouse-Cre8tive Artz, Paper Wizard, Simply Stitched, Epiphany Crafts, Hot off the Press, Kiwi Lane, Sa Crafters (new to us), Pinecone Press, Scrapping 4 Less, Cutter Pillar (new to us) & Best Craft Organizer.

A lot of these booths are pretty much 100% scrapbook so we didn't spend more than 2 seconds in the booths :0) Some were just embellishments and mostly things we/I don't use so again maybe a quick run through their booth and on to the next one. Regardless of how small the show was and that there was too much scrapbooking I ended up with enough things that I didn't need but wanted, of course, LOL yes I am one of those that know the difference between want and need so all I bought was a totally want.

I also got to meet two ladies one belongs to one of my Yahoo groups and the other her friend the reason she was there :0) both nice ladies. At the beginning, we ran into each other a few times and then never saw them again so either we were going the wrong side or they left early...well we left by 2 and to me that was early :0) but after going around a couple times around we had seen everything :0) and had bought almost all we wanted, yes I forgot something so it was almost :0) we didn't run into a lot of people as usual so not a lot of visiting :0(

And now, for the reason you are here, the sharing of a card.

This is another card for the gift set and donation box. The background is a Cuttlebug folder, penguin is Memory Box colored with Copic Markers, the confetti is a Rubber Stampede/Posh Impressions stamp colored with baby wipe technique

Shoebox Tuesday

Since we are in July and I have always loved "Christmas in July" I know it's just commercializing the holiday but still is my favorite holiday and it's like celebrating extra time :0) my shoebox project, of course, had to be Christmas. Also, in one of my Yahoo groups the theme this month is pleated fold or pleated skirt fold. So this is what I did

Since I didn't have double sided Christmas paper I made my own. The regular craft stores only sell one-sided paper, I believe some of their 6x6 do come double sided but since I don't want any more Christmas papers at least until I use up all the ones I have, won't be buying more :0)

The message in English is by Rubber Marbles

and in Spanish is Stamp A Mania

the corner stamp is by Lockhart Stamps

4th of July

This is the card I made this year for 4th of July for the few people I give cards out.

For the "table" I used the woodgrain stamp by SU and outlined it with Copic multi liner pen, the ant is a brad I got at Impress that I believe is by Outlet Eyelets and Brads, the ice cream cone is a stamp set and matching die by The Stamps of Life...the cone itself is colored with Copic Markers and the message is by Savvy Stamps

also used the same design except for the message for a mingle (aka swap) in one of my Yahoo groups with the theme Ice cream. The ant brad was also from Impress that I believe are by Outlet Eyelet & Brads
