Stampin' Up Retirement Camp

I attended a SU workshop where we would be able to buy the "used" retired item as well as ordering from the catalogs that were ending and the new catalog.

This are the cards we made. As always I made little changes on some of them mostly omitting glitter, using my Copic markers

This card I added the message on the scallop oval punch and colored with Copic markers

This one I omitted the message, I didn't want to ruin my card with the create your own message stamp

This one the only thing I did different but was not really a change was making it smaller than regular card because I wanted the punched border to match...no half scallops and then I added a tiny rhinestone on the "i" in amazing

Hot off the Press card kit book

Back in 1995-97 I wasn't totally into stamping but liked making my cards so I bought several book to make cards by Hot off the press well back then I think I only did a few cards and now that I was going through everything in my craft room I found them so decided to work on them so this is the first book I picked. It was called Quilted card kit

These one closed looks like a normal card but when you open the message is on the bottom

    

This one the flap is only half the size so it sort of covers the personal message area

     

All cards are different size from A6 to half fold. Other than the square and half size all others would need a handmade envelope or use a bigger size than the card envelope as they don't fit on regular A6, A7 or A8 :0)

Shoebox Thursday

This week's shoe-box was a summery/manly card. Linda asked us to bring 3 SU ink pads but since I only had one I took my memento ink  and they work just fine, color was pretty much the same. Can't remember what we used for the sand but it is so sand like

Finished cards

I decided to take a break from working on my craft room so I finished the 3 cards from Saturday's class

on this one all I had to color was the dog

on this one I had to color the 3 owls

and the last one I needed to color the fox BUT since you could see the Copic bleeding on the inside and I personally I don't like how that looks, feels unfinished or being lazy or cheap so I mounted it on a black base card :0)

Copic Airbrush System Class & Little Black Dress Class

I took 2 classes with Sandy Allnock from OWH at Impress.

The first class was Copic Airbrush System. All supplies are Hero Arts and Memory Box I believe.

This card is not done as the class was just using the airbrush system so no time to color still have to finish the doggy and anker him

The second class was called little black dress and all cards are dressy cards for graduation, wedding, prom or anything of that kind. Besides the score board, Memory Box dress die and the Martha Stewart edge punch I don't know the other supplies.

This card the dress was straight up & down but Sandy didn't say to watch for the size :0) so after I glued the dress it didn't fit unless it was on an angle and since not just had I glue the dress but I had added adhesive to the dress I could't come home to do another base card. When you don't have your full kit no way to improvise :0)
