Hair gel

After watching Brandy's tutorial on this technique I decided to give it a try. Bret said it was cool how it really does look like water. The fishes are by Local King Rubber Stamps other stamps Stampin' Up

Shoebox Thursday

This week was my turn to do the shoe-box and since St Patrick's Day is coming up that is the theme I used. My foster family was big on this holiday. Joe & Nolene even dressed up like Irish. Even got to try green beer once. Anyway this is what I did.

Closed-up of the clover. I used 3 hearts for each leaf, and the stem is from the two-step bird punch

TeePee card

This week's Sunday technique was a TeePee card. The tutorial supplied to us was  by LeAnne http://www.weeinklings.blogspot.nl/search/label/Teepee%20Card

This is the over-top look

Front view...only side with image

This is a front flat view.

I guess where the closure is we'll call it the back. I was having a hard time with what to use for closure, I didn't want ribbon or velcro, tried strips of magnet but didn't keep it close and then I remember I had this metal turn mounts...wish I had the painted ones but guess as long as it does the work color doesn't matter too much :0)

I really like this fold card BUT unless is for someone that makes cards I don't think I would send to anyone as they wouldn't know how to put it together. As card-makers we know the little things we use on our cards and are able to figure out how a card goes but for someone else it's a 30/70 chance :0)

I also made this one with the same technique. All sides have the bird and leaves but the papers are different and also used the same closure

Get well

A lady in one of my yahoo groups is having hip replacement so this is the card I made for her.

I use Labels Fifteen by Spellbinders to make the base card and colored the digital image by Sliekestamps with Copic Markers

Closed-up of the main image...as you can tell one of her favorite colors is green.

Stampers' Drop In

Today was Stampers' Drop-in at Impress. We did this clean and simple St Patrick's day card. We did it with their outline heart and we were supposed to cut out own stem but since I'm too lazy I waited until I got home to use my two-step bird punch. I learned that if it has 3 "leaves" it's a clover and if it has 4 it's a shamrock so guess my St Patrick's cards will have clovers not shamrocks as I didn't know there was a difference...all I remember was that if you find one with 4 it's a lucky one. Anyway here is the card

Just little tip Impress sells this tiny bottles with a non-rust metal tip (sorry can't remember the brand) and it works great for applying glue or in my case Rangers glossy accent in small areas. It hasn't plugged and it's always ready to use. Before I had to be using a pin to unplug the tip

This is how the bottle looks like (it's sold empty) from tip to bottom is about 3.25" x 1"

Bird house

I was surfing and fell in Jackie Topa's blog "Addicted to Stamping" and she made this cute bird house so of course since I like doing different folds I had to try and here is my result.

I decided to add a liner on my card so I added color in the circle with the same color I sponged on the roof and also added some sponged red on the heart

The husband of a friend had ankle surgery so I made this for him...his wife likes yellow so hoped he is OK with that color too :0)

Get Well

A lady in one of my Yahoo groups got sick as well as her husband so I did one of these cards for them. Of course probably by the time they get it they'll be all better...which is good of course.

The stamp is by Lockhart Stamp Co. I can't remember the name of the company that took over and I colored the box with Copic Markers

Stampin' Up Club

Today was Stampin' Up monthly Club meeting and we had 5 projects to make. This time all supplies are SU...didn't add anything extra LOL

This one the original card was without the pearls but it needed something so I added the pearls. Bret said that it was a nice masculine card but agreed that it was better with the pearls

The antennas aren't SU not sure where Candee got them but I know Impress has some in different colors

Shoebox Thursday

This week shoe-box project was a cute teapot. Kathy got the idea from Pinterest. It was a little work to get it all together but cute. I think all supplies except the jewels were SU [sorry that picture looks a little blurry but jewels weren't helping today :0)]

Saturated Canary

My niece is going to be a Quinceañera and I wanted to make her a special card since in theory this is a special day in Mexico. When I saw this image at Saturated Canary web site I just loved it and figure it would be the perfect image to make her card as it’s just looks like a sweet lady. As you can image she likes purple just like me. Normally there is a big party for the birthday girl as it’s when she gets introduce to society as a lady but my niece said she didn't want a party just a trip. After a long time thinking, this is what I ended up making for her. I added a small calendar to point out it was on 2014 when she turned 15
I colored her with Copic markers

Stampin' Up Card Spring Card Bash

I attended another SU camp and these are the cards I made

This is the closed view

the whole open inside view

Closed up look of inside piece

The original design is the next card but one of the ladies on our table put the doily without the white piece just to see how it looked and we liked it better. I love white on white BUT this time the doily seems to out-stand better straight on the blue paper (the original design had another message but I rather use it for sympathy or get well)

Kick stand card

This was one of the Sunday techniques and the tutorial was by Bev Rochester. Not sure what the meaning of the card fold is but it was fun to make

Krazy Kreations card kit hats

This kit included everything to make 3 cards, except for the markers and adhesive, pretty much it has everything else...the peel-off stickers, score tape, papers, glitter & embellishments most even the messages to go with the card. All cards were done with Copic markers, and except for a few markers I used the suggested colors. Also for the most part I changed the square cards to make them more rectangle cards as it's more expensive to mail square cards from the US

Krazy Kreations card kit corset

This kit include everything to make 4 cards, except for the markers and adhesive, pretty much it has everything else...the peel-off stickers, score tape, papers, glitter & embellishments most even the messages to go with the card...this one didn't have messages but the samples had message by SU guess that's why it didn't have them. All cards were done with Copic markers and except for a few markers I used the suggested colors. This kit had everything to make two of each design

Krazy Kreations card kit Cardinal holiday

This kit include everything to make 3 cards, except for the markers and adhesive, pretty much it has everything else...the peel-off stickers, score tape, papers, glitter & embellishments most even the messages to go with the card...I switch the message from Christmas to just for you. All cards were done with Copic markers and except for a few markers I used the suggested colors. Also as a tip do not use your blender pen to burnish shimmer paper it ruins your tip. The instructions were to do this but of course it didn't say anything about ruining the tip and after two card even though it still was wet it wouldn't do more cards.

Krazy Kreations card kit step card fishes

This kit include everything to make 3 cards, except for the markers and adhesive, pretty much it has everything else...the peel-off stickers, score tape, papers, glitter & embellishments most even the messages to go with the card. All cards were done with Copic markers and except for a few markers I used the suggested colors. These were side step cards

Krazy Kreations card kit bugs

All cards were done with Copic markers and except for a few markers I used the suggested colors. This kit had enough to make two of each design
